Mercedes-Benz has commenced bookings of the A-Class Limousine in India at a token amount of Rs 2 lakh. It is expected to be priced from Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom) and will be available in petrol, diesel, and AMG variants.
The carmaker took the wraps off the A-Class sedan at Auto Expo 2020. The sedan will replace the previous A-Class hatchback and will slot below the upcoming CLA sedan. Exterior highlights of the A-Class sedan include a front fascia featuring curved surfaces, soft lines, a minimalist grille and air inlets.
Interior highlights consist of a driver’s instrument display in one half and an infotainment system in the other.
In the international market, the A-Class sedan is available with two engine options. The A 200 variant is powered by a 1330cc turbocharged petrol engine that makes 163PS of power and 250Nm of torque, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The A 180 d, on the other hand, gets a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine that generates 116PS and 260Nm, paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Since the A-Class sedan will be a CBU import in the country, we expect the India-spec car to be powered by the same set of petrol and diesel engines.
Audi’s top-of-the-line RS model, the RS Q8 is just around the corner as the Ingolstadt-based carmaker has commenced bookings at a token amount of Rs 15 lakh. Bookings can be made online or at authorised dealerships. The RS Q8 is powered by a 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine that produces 600hp and 800Nm. Power is channelled to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox and Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system. It also gets a host of other mechanical upgrades to its brakes and suspension. Official figures put the RS Q8’s performance in supercar territory with a claimed 0-100kph time of 3.8sec and a limited top speed of 250kph (304kph with the optional dynamic package). The RS Q8 does uphold the claimed numbers by being the fastest SUV around the Nurburgring Nordschleife in Germany.
On the outside, it is spicier than the standard Q8 with a blacked-out single-frame front grille, bigger air dams on the front bumper, dark-tinted Matrix LED headlights, 22-inch dual tone alloy wheels and dual exhausts at the rear. It also features a wider track width than the standard Q8. The cabin receives sports seats and an RS theme for its three screens. The virtual cockpit features driver-focused information such as lap time, G-force meter and shift lights.
Expect the Audi RS Q8 to be priced at around Rs 2 crore (ex-showroom). Rivals include the the Lamborghini Urus and Porsche Cayenne Turbo.

Mumbai, August 12, 2020: Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, today announced the next big step in its Digitalization journey with the roll-out of the enhanced ‘myAudi Connect’ App for Audi customers. In a first, the ‘myAudi Connect’ App will also cater to potential customers and Audi fans.
With exciting customer-centric features, this latest version of the App offers several additional functions including a login for Audi Club India members, payment options to enable in-app merchandise purchase, exclusive offers from Audi Concierge, offers on car-life products and online help and support – all of this within a secure framework and in compliance with data protection. These features are offered as standard for all Audi India customers. Potential customers and enthusiasts get access to features including Augmented Reality, placement of test drive requests, product brochures and service cost calculators amongst others.

The new state of the art dealership facility sports the new Corporate Identity and Design as a part of SKODA AUTO global redesigning process. The Czech auto manufacturer, under the purview of the ‘INDIA 2.0’ project, will have at least twice as many sales and service touchpoints, as it does today, by 2022.
PPS Motors is strategically located at 219/11, Ramana Maharishi Road, Palace Orchards, Sadashivanagar, Bellary Road and offers utmost ease and convenience across the region. The sales facility sprawls over an area of 4,500 square feet and accommodates at least four cars on display.
