2022 Maruti Brezza spied during TVC shoot!- check pics

Maruti is planning to launch a thorough facelift of its sub 4 metre crossover, the Brezza. Pics of the same have leaked during a shoot of its TV Commercial and shows us how it will look. We give you the details-

As we can see from the pic, the front end will be completely redesigned and will now feature dual-projector headlamps along with a new grille and a tougher looking bumper with a silver faux skid plate. These elements give it a more aggressive look compared to the milder and softer design of the outgoing Vitara Brezza.

Moving on to the next picture, we can see faint outlines on the roof which indicate that the 2022 Brezza might finally receive a sunroof which has been a highly sought after feature in the segment. However it seems that it will only be the regular-sized one and not a panoramic unit that stretches across to the second row. The side profile also reveals a reworked window-line and new cladding that give it a tougher look. New Diamond-cut alloy wheels are also seen. We can also see a shark-fin antenna along with silver roof rails.

Moving on to the rear, the pic here is not very clear but it still indicates a host of changes which include a completely new design. The new bumper gets a large faux skid plate that enhance the Brezza’s credentials. The number plate recess has also been moved further down and loses the chrome strip. B-R-E-Z-Z-A lettering takes the centre stage here with the Suzuki logo sitting above it. The absence of the Vitara moniker might also indicate that the new model will be called the Maruti Brezza only. Flanking the logos are new, sleeker taillights which are expected to be Full-LED units if rumours are to be believed.

Other details about the 2022 Brezza

The 2022 Brezza is expected to receive the new K15C Dualjet mild hybrid engine which has been launched in the Ertiga and XL6 till now. It produces a max output of 102BHP and 137NM of torque. A brand-new 6-speed torque converter Automatic will also be on offer along with the current 5-speed manual. As in the Ertiga twins, this will also be tuned with fuel efficiency in mind and might offer a claimed 20+ KMPL mileage figure. A CNG variant is expected as well.

Some other new feature additions expected include all-new interiors, a 9 inch Smartplay Pro+ touchscreen head-unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay and a Heads-up display among others. 6 airbags are also expected.

The 2022 Maruti Brezza will compete with rivals such as the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue among others. It is expected to launch in the month of July.
