Hyundai Creta was a great success for Hyundai in India, and one of the best-selling compact Suv of all times. With the new Creta, there are mixed opinions it still does a better job of out-selling other competitors. But Creta could only target an audience with people wanting a 5 seater car. The major market was the 6-7 seater audience, which the Innova, Hector, Scorpio won. With this idea, that Indians love to travel together,  they need to work on something which is a 6-7 seater, affordable, and as comfortable as creta. Yes, Santafe was launched earlier but since it was expensive it didn’t make the impact as creta did. Thus Hyundai thought of something which we saw in Harrier and safari earlier this year. They extended the Cretas wheelbase with the addition of 150mm added 2 seating configurations either 6 or 7 seater, adding a host of electronic features, and launched their Premium Suv called the ALCAZAR.
