Audi India has announced the commencement of bookings for the facelifted version of their full-size luxury sedan, named the A8L. The facelift is expected to refresh the sedan which was initially revealed globally in 2017 and competes with the other flagship sedans such as the Mercedes S Class and BMW 7 Series.
The new facelifted A8L will be powered by a 3.0 twinturbo V6 TFSI petrol engine paired to a 48V mild-hybrid system. The performance figures are rated at 340HP and 540NM of torque. It will also recieve Audi’s famed Quattro all-wheel-drive system. It is also rumoured that Audi will be offering it in two trims as opposed to the single trim of the outgoing car.
The new A8L will also receive features such as Digital Matrix LED headlamps, an optional Rear relaxation package which includes a foot massager and more. An option to configure the interior colour schemes based on the customer’s tastes will also be offered.
Design changes in the facelifted Audi A8L
The car in addition gets an all-round makeover with a snazzier front grille, sharper headlamps, reprofiled bumpers. It also gets a new alloy wheel design. The rear end gets new bumpers as well as reworked taillamps which now use the OLED technology that allows one to change their signature.
The Audi A8L facelift will be available for booking through your nearest Audi dealer for an amount of Rs. 10 Lakhs. The price which is yet to be revealed, is expected to be slightly higher than the outgoing cars Rs. 1.57 cr price tag.
