BMW has launched a special edition of its M4 Competition Coupe in India called the “50 Jahre M Edition” to commemorate 50 years of the birth of its high-performance M lineup. The car gets several exclusive touches and will be produced in limited numbers.
The exclusive touches in the 50 Jahre M4 Competition include M badges at the front and rear as well as the hubcaps- inspired by early motorsport cars. It also gets 19/20 inch double-spoke alloy wheels finished in Orbit Grey and Gold Bronze. The 50 Jahre M edition wil be available in two BMW Individual paint options- Macao blue and Imola red.
Moving on to the interiors, special bits include lettering on the door sill and metal plaque on the centre console as well as on the headrests of the M Sport seats.
Under the hood, the mechanicals remain unchanged and the “50 Jahre M Edition” remains powered by a 3.0L straight-six turbo petrol mated to an 8 speed AT. This combo produces 510HP and 650NM and is capable of sending the car from 0-100 in 3.5 seconds. It also gets an M xDrive All-wheel-drive system.
The new M4 Competition “50 Jahre M Edition” will be brought in as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) and will be limited to only 10 units. It is priced at a premium of 9 Lakhs to the standard version and will cost you Rs. 1.53 Cr. It will go up against the likes of the Audi RS5 and the upcoming Mercedes AMG C63S.
