Citroen has launched their latest product, the eC3. Based on their C3 hatchback, it is available across 4 variants with a starting price pf Rs. 11.50 Lakh(Ex-showroom Delhi). The eC3 will be built at Citroen’s manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu and gets an all-electric powertrain.
The eC3 gets powered by an electric motor producing 57BHP and 143NM torque. Battery capacity is rated at 29.2kWh. While Citroen claims a range of 320kms, the top speed remains limited to 107kmph. They have also equipped the eC3 with DC fast charging capabilities enabling the car to go from 10-80% charge in 57 minutes. Further, the eC3 gets an air cooled battery pack along with two driving modes (Eco and Standard) and regenerative braking.
In terms of features, it remains largely identical to its petrol-powered sibling by offering a 10.2 inch touch screen, height adjustable driver seat, wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay, connected car technology and more. Citroen will be offering a warranty 0f upto 7 years/1.4Lakh km for the battery while the car itself gets a standard coverage for 3 years/1.25 Lakh km.

The eC3 will be sold across their network of 25 dealers across the country and can also be booked online through Citroen’s website. Moreover, it is available in 2 variants-Live and Feel while also getting the optional vibe pack and dual tone colour options in the latter. The eC3 is expected to go up against the recently launched Tata Tiago.ev as well as the upcoming MG Air EV which is expected to arrive in a few months.
