Here’s what to expect at Auto Expo 2023: MG Motor

The Auto Expo 2023 is scheduled to take place from 13th-18th January at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. It is one of the premier and most-anticipated events in the auto industry. MG will be showcasing their current product line-up along with a few international models. Among the participants will be MG Motor who are expected to showcase the following-

MG Hector and Hector Plus facelift

MG is expected to launch facelifts of their popular Hector and Hector Plus SUVs early next month. They will receive revised interiors and exteriors with a bigger grille. An updated equipment list is also expected which will include ADAS, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster and more. Under the hood, it is expected to remain unchanged, however there’s a possibility of a strong hybrid variant also being showcased at the Expo.

MG Air EV

The highlight of MG’s stall though, would be the 2 door Air EV quadricycle. The small EV has been spied testing multiple times which has led to rumours of it launching here soon. While there are no concrete details yet, it will be positioned as an affordable second car for urban buyers with a focus on a lower running costs and easy manoeuvrability for crowded city conditions.

MG 4 EV

Also on display will be the MG 4 EV, an electric hatchback that MG sells in many markets globally. While there are no current plans for an India launch with the 4, it will be on display to gauge customer interest for further evaluation. It is powered by a 64kWh battery pack which gives it a range of 450+ Km. In terms of features, it gets ADAS, satellite navigation, 360 camera, wireless phone charging and more.

MG Gloster

 

The flagship model of MG in India- the Gloster SUV is also expected to be on display at Auto Expo 2023. The Gloster recently received a minor facelift and gets powered by a 2.0L Diesel engine mated to an 8 speed torque converter transmission. It produces 212HP and 479NM and gets both 2WD and 4WD versions. Features such as massaging driver seat, wireless charging, park assist, heated ORVMs etc. also figure in the equipment list.
