Kia has launched the facelifted Seltos at a price of Rs. 10.89 Lakhs (Ex-showroom). It gets extensive revisions to the styling and equipment list. It is now offered in three trim lines- Tech Line, GT Line and X-Line which brings a matte finished exterior. Three engines are offered with a wide array of IVT, iMT and DCT transmission. Kia Seltos Facelift Design
In terms of the design, Kia has given a thorough revision and the new Seltos gets a fresh front fascia. There is now a new grille with DRLs extending inside it. Under that is a new bumper with fog lamps, plastic cladding. There is a new silver faux skid plate to give it a more muscular look. Towards the side, not much has changed besides the new 18 inch alloys (on the GT Line and X-Line trims).
It is towards the rear though where most changes have been made. The tailgate has been reprofiled with more aggressive cuts and creases. Besides this, you have new taillamps with an “inverted L” design and a light bar connecting either sides which replaces the chrome strip from before. The bumper is redone as well with a lot more cladding, a thick faux skid plate along with triangular exhaust tips. Lastly, there are new faux air vents with reflectors which get encased in body coloured accents. Kia is also offering a new Pewter Green shade as pictured above.
Kia Seltos Interiors & Features
Inside, the Seltos gets a new dashboard with two connected 10.25 inch screens serving as the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system respectively. New features on the equipment list include dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS features, a cooled wireless charging pad, ventilated seats, 8 way powered drivers seat and more. Also on offer is ambient lighting, paddleshifters (on AT), rain sensing wipers, connected car technology, voice commands etc.
Talking of safety features, it gets a 360 degree camera, parking sensors, 6 airbags, ESC, Hill Start Assist, all-wheel disc brakes, EPB with auto hold, front parking sensors, projector foglamps and more,
Kia Seltos Facelift Powertrain
Under the hood, there is an option of three engines- the 1.5L NA Petrol and 1.5 Diesel continue while a new 1.5 turbo petrol GDI engine replaces the 1.4 turbo which was discontinued before BS6 Phase II norms came into effect. The 1.5 NA Petrol produces 115HP and 144NM and can be had with a 6 speed manual or an IVT automatic transmission.
The new 1.5 turbo petrol engine which is also shared with it’s sibling Carens makes 160HP and 253NM and is available with a 6 speed iMT clutchless manual or a 7 speed DCT automatic transmission options. According to Kia, with this engine, the Seltos becomes the most powerful option in its segment.
The 1.5 diesel engine continues as is making 116HP and 250NM and can be had with either a 6 speed iMT or a 6 speed torque converter automatic transmission.
Kia Seltos Facelift Price & Variants
The Seltos facelift is being offered in three trim lines- Tech Line, GT Line and X-Line with 14, 2 and 2 variants in each respectively. Interiors of the Tech Line come finished in a combination of tan and black while the GT-Line trims get sportier design elements along with an all-black interior. The X-Line is offered for a price of Rs. 20,000 over the standard GT-Line variants and further gets you black elements along with a matte graphite colour and sage green upholstery. Prices range between Rs. 10.89-19.99 Lakhs (Ex-showroom). The detailed price list is attached below-

Kia has also introduced a new Pewter Green exterior shade in addition to the existing Imperial Blue, Gravity Grey, Aurora Black Pearl, Sparkling Silver, Intense Red and Glacier White Pearl options with the latter two also getting a dual-tone option with a black roof.
The new Seltos facelift will compete with other midsize crossover SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, Maruti Grand Vitara and others. Bookings are currently open for an amount of Rs. 25,000.
