Mahindra has launched the XUV300 TurboSport variant for their compact SUV. It gets more power, exterior changes and a new colour. Prices start from Rs. 10.35 Lakhs.
The most notable change in the TurboSport is under the hood where it now gets a more powerful version of its 1.2L 4 cylinder turbo-petrol motor. It now produces 130PS of power and 230NM torque(expendable to 250Nm with overboost function). Mahindra claims that it will do 0-60 Kmph within 5 seconds while strangely not having revealed 0-100 timings. This motor will be paired to a sole 6 speed manual transmission. They have also added a Direct Injection technology (T-GDI in Mahindra speak) which improves performance and fuel efficiency.
Besides the powertrain, the TurboSport also receives minor exterior changes. These include grille and front air damn with red accents, the new Mahindra “twin-peaks” logo and gloss black ORVMs. Inside, it gets an all-black theme with leatherette seats as standard. This is also complemented by silver trim on the dashboard and steering wheel. Aluminium pedals are standard as well.
In terms of convenience features, the TurboSport remains identical and receives features such as Dual zone automatic climate control, Auto wipers and headlamps, Rear parking camera, electric sunroof etc. Safety is taken care off by a 5 star Global NCAP crash test rating, 6 airbags, 4-disc brakes, front parking sensors, ESP with hill start assist, ISOFIX seats, Corner Braking Control and more.
The XUV300 TurboSport is also offered in 4 new colour options- Blazing Bronze with black roof top, Napoli Black with white roof top, Pearl White with black roof top. The Blazing Bronze is a new option specific to the TurboSport variant. Further, it is available in 3 trims- W6, W8 and W8(O) with dual tone paint options on the top two trims. Pricing starts at Rs. 10.35 Lakhs as given below and tops out at Rs. 12.90 Lakhs.
