Mahindra XUV400 EV teased- reveal on 8th September!

Mahindra has uploaded a teaser of its upcoming EV, the XUV400. This will be based on their existing compact SUV, the XUV300 and is supposed to be revealed on 8th September.

While not much details are known about the XUV400, we speculate that it will be based on the XUV300 and come with many features such as an electric sunroof, dual zone climate control, auto dimming IRVM etc. There is also a high probability of ADAS being offered. It might also receive some new features compared to its ICE sibling. The new Mahindra twin peaks logo will be put on the face of the XUV400 in what seems to be an interesting shade of bronze. An all new faux grille will also be present. It might also be slightly longer than the XUV300 measuring at over 4 metres.

As for the powertrain details, it is expected to receive a claimed range of around 250-300kms from a Lithium-ion battery paired to a motor making around 150HP. Mahindra had previously unveiled the eXUV300 concept at the 2020 Auto Expo which had then imagined the production version of this EV. The XUV400 is likely to be priced from Rs. 12-18 Lakhs and will go up against the Tata Nexon EV as its chief rival.
