Maruti Suzuki Eeco facelift launched; gets new K12 engine

Maruti has launched the facelifted version of its Eeco van. It gets several updates including a new engine and more equipment.

The Eeco gets a new heart in the form of a new K-Series 1.2L 4 cylinder engine which bumps up power and torque figures to 80HP and 104NM. Codenamed the K12M, Maruti claims it can deliver upto 20.2Kmpl. There is also a CNG version available with a claimed mileage of 27Km/Kg.

In terms of other features, the Eeco now gets a digital instrument cluster, Engine immobilizer, updated knobs for AC controls and a new Steering wheel. Safety features include dual airbags, driver and passenger seatbelt reminder and reverse parking sensors as mandated by the government. Maruti also claims to have increased the boot space by 60 litres. Besides these, Maruti will also be offering a new Metallic Brisk Blue colour in addition to the four existing options.

The price of the new Maruti Eeco starts at Rs. 5.10 Lakhs (Ex-showroom) for the base Tour V 5 seater variant going all the way till Rs. 6.65 Lakhs (Ex-showroom) for the Eeco Cargo AC CNG variant. Maruti also offers special Ambulance versions for medical organisations at an extra cost.
