MG Motor India refreshed the Gloster lineup for India today, prices starting from INR 32Lakhs.
The new Gloster comes basically as a feather touch facelift over the existing model.
What’s new in the MG Gloster?
The main changes in the MG flagship’s exterior are in form slight cosmetics. It now comes with a new evidently-named “Deep Golden” colour and a new “British Windmill turbine-inspired” alloy wheels. The English automaker has also opted for a new rear number design for 2WD variants.
On the safety front, the Gloster now gets added three new driver assistance features: Door open warning, rear cross-track alert and lane change assist. The infotainment system now supports ‘hinglish’ voice commands, among other minor quality of life tweaks here and there. The car now even gets Android Watch connectivity in conjunction to the i-Smart app.
About the Gloster:
The MG Gloster is powered by a 2.0L twin turbo diesel engine producing 211hp, mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. This humongous people mover is available in 6 and 7 seater configurations and comes equipped with a 31.2cm touch screen infotainment system that MG claims to be best in class. Add to all that, the Gloster also brings in a 7-mode all-terrain system, with dual panoramic sunroof with seat message and ventilation options.
The new prices start at INR 32Lakhs for the 4×2 ‘Super’ variant, going up till INR 40.77Lakhs for the Savvy variants (ex-showroom). Variant-wise price breakup are as follows:
Apart from the aforementioned changes, the Gloster remains largely unchanged. Thus, do not expect this update to dramatically increase an otherwise dwindling sales figure.
