MG Motor has released the interior pics of their mid-size SUV, the Hector. The new facelift, scheduled to come out this year, will receive extensive updates.
In the pics, we can see that the Hector will get an all-new dual-tone interior colour scheme of Oak White and Black. MG has also provided a new dashboard and centre console which includes a 14 inch touchscreen infotainment system. The system will receive wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay and will be mounted in a portrait orientation like the outgoing car. A new digital and customisable instrument cluster is also on the list. Additionally, there is a new, sleeker shift knob and brushed aluminium accents all over the interior. There is a new, updated engine stop/start button as well.
Besides the updated interiors, the new Hector is expected to get a longer equipment list and exterior styling updates as well. MG had previously revealed a teaser showcasing the new front grille which is bigger than the current Hector as well as new bumpers. In terms of mechanicals, there are no changes expected and it will be continued to be powered by a 1.5L turbo petrol engine mated to a Manual or CVT transmission or a 2.0L Diesel with a manual. The petrol manual further receives a 48V mild-hybrid system.
The new Hector facelift is slated to launch by the end of this year and will compete with rivals such as the Mahindra XUV700 and Tata Harrier among others.
