Ultraviolette, an EV motorcycle startup has showcased the production version of their first product, the F77 yesterday at an event organised to commemorate the 75th Independence day of India.
Ultraviolette had organised the event for members of the pilot community, some of whom are army veterans where they were given extended test rides of the F77 and taken feedback from. The event was also held to pay tribute to 75 years of Independence of the country. The F77 was demonstrated at the Taneja Aerospace Airfield near Hosur, Tamil Nadu. The bikes were also tested across multiple parameters, including acceleration, torque, handling, braking, cornering and the real time connectivity.
The F77 will start becoming available for public test rides from September 2022 according to Ultraviolette. They also claim to have recieved more than 65,000 pre-bookings mainly from the US, India and Europe.
About the Ultraviolette F77
The F77 will be the India’s first high performance electric motorcycle claims Ultraviolette. It will do 0-60 Kmph in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 140Kmph. It will receive a range of approximately 200kms. Features will include remote diagnostics, over-the-air (OTA) upgrades, regenerative braking, multiple ride modes, bike tracking, ride diagnostics and more. It is expected to launch by the end of this year and will rival the likes of the Revolt RV400 and Tork Kratos.
