Skoda’s flagship 4×4 SUV, the Kodiaq, is all set to be available once again for Q1 2023, the company announced recently.
Skoda brought the face-lifted Kodiaq in India as a CBU. Within 48 hours of the launch, the 2022 allocation of the SUV for India were all sold out in January. In light of enquiries continuing from customers all through 2022, the Czech automaker announced availability of the new Kodiaq for the span of Q1 2023.
Although the car will continue as the 2022 model, it will come at a price hike. The Kodiaq will now start at INR 37,49,000.
About the Skoda Kodiaq:
The Kodiaq will continue to be available in three trims, Style, Sportline, and Laurin&Klement. It is powered by WV’s all-wielding 2.0 petrol TSI engine churning out 190bhp and 320Nm of torque to all four wheels. The powerplant comes mated to a 7-speed DSG transmission as well.
Safety features of Skoda’s 4×4 SUV include 9-airbags as standard, ESC, multi-collision brakes along with a 360-degree camera setup. The car gets an 8-inch infotainment screen with a 10.4-inch driver’s display and a Canton sound system.
The range starts at INR 37,49,000 for the Style variant with prices going up to INR 39,99,000 for the top of line L&K guise. Bookings for the new batch of Kodiaq’s are already underway for a token amount of INR 50,000 with deliveries scheduled for January 2023 onwards.
The Skoda Kodiaq goes up against the likes of the Hyundai Tucson, the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian and the MG Gloster.
