Suzuki India has debuted their new 250cc Adventure tourer, the V-Strom SX today. It marks Suzuki’s first foray into this segment and draws inspiration from the bigger bikes in the V-Strom series sold by them.
The V-Strom SX is powered by a 249cc single cylinder SOHC oil cooled engine. It produces a max power of 26 BHP @ 9300rpm and a max torque of 22NM @7300rpm and is mated to a 6 speed manual transmission. It is also equipped with Suzuki’s SEP fuel injection technology claimed to increase efficiency. It also weighs 167Kg and is offered with a 12-litre fuel tank.
Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Ground clearance is rated at 205mm. The V-Strom SX also receives disc brakes on both ends and dual channel ABS as standard,
As for features, Suzuki has equipped the V-Strom SX with goodies such as a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity integrated with turn-by-turn navigation, Whatsapp alerts, speed warnings etc. A blue backlit USB charger is also being provided.
Lighting is provided by an octagonal LED headlamp inspired from its larger siblings. It also gets the iconic beak and an upright windscreen as additions based on the larger V-Stroms
The V-Strom SX has been launched in a single variant at a price of Rs. 2,11,600 (ex-showroom delhi) and is available in 3 colours- Champion Yellow No. 2, Pearl Blaze Orange and Glass Sparkle Black. It will be available across all Suzuki Premium dealerships in India. Its chief rivals include the KTM Adventure 250 and the BMW G310 GS
