Mechanically, the Altroz continues with the same powertrains: the 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine (88 PS, 115 Nm), the segment-exclusive 1.5-litre Revotorq diesel (90 PS, 200 Nm), and a 1.2-litre iCNG variant (74 PS, 103 Nm in CNG mode) with a twin-cylinder layout that frees up usable boot space. Where the facelift makes a crucial change is in the transmission options — the Altroz now offers a 5-speed AMT on the petrol variant, in addition to DCA (dual-clutch automatic).

Visually, the Altroz facelift features updated LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, a reworked front grille and bumper, flush-fitting illuminated door handles, and connected LED tail-lamps. The updates bring the design more in line with Tata’s newer models while retaining the Altroz’s familiar overall profile.

Inside, the Altroz receives a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a fully digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, and wireless charging. Other additions include ambient lighting, a redesigned steering wheel with an illuminated logo as seen on other Tata cars.

Tata is offering the Altroz facelift in 7 variants Smart, Pure, Pure S, Creative, Creative S, Accomplished S and Accomplished +S. Prices vary depending on the engine and transmission, with the range topping out at ₹11.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the fully loaded petrol DCT. It is available in five exterior colour options: Pristine White, Pure Grey, Royal Blue, Ember Glow, and Dune Glow.

In terms of safety, the Altroz builds on its reputation as one of the safest hatchbacks in India. The pre-facelift model was awarded a 5-star rating by Global NCAP, and the updated version now includes six airbags and electronic stability control as standard across all variants.

We speculate that a Dark Edition is expected to join the lineup at a later stage, based on Tata’s existing strategy across its model range. Competitors include the Hyundai i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, and Toyota Glanza.
