The Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan has also been updated. While the battery rental rate remains at Rs 4.5 per kilometre, the vehicle’s starting price under this scheme has increased from Rs 12.50 lakh to Rs 13.09 lakh.

The Windsor Pro is powered by a 52.9 kWh battery, offering a claimed range of 449 km per charge. It uses a motor rated at 136 hp and 200 Nm of torque. Charging options include a 7.4kW AC charger that takes approximately 9.5 hours and a 60kW DC fast charger that charges from 20% to 80% in 50 minutes.

New features include Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging functions. The model also receives updated 18-inch alloy wheels and three new paint options: Celadon Blue, Glaze Red, and Aurora Silver. The interior now sports a dual-tone ivory and black theme.

Existing features such as the 15.6-inch touchscreen, 8.8-inch digital display, panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, 9-speaker Infinity audio system, 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake, and six airbags remain. A powered tailgate is a new addition.

A key upgrade is the addition of ADAS Level 2, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, autonomous emergency braking, and other driver assistance technologies.

The Cyberster will be the first model under the newly introduced ‘MG Select’ sub-brand, which will focus on new energy vehicles (NEVs) such as hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and fully electric models. These MG Select outlets will offer both sales and service facilities, featuring a distinct dealership design and branding.

In terms of design, the Cyberster sports sleek LED headlights with DRLs, a sculpted bonnet, and a split air intake. The rear features distinctive arrow-shaped tail lights and a divided diffuser, while the side profile is characterized by sharp lines, aerodynamic contours, and diamond-cut alloy wheels ranging from 19 to 20 inches. A standout feature is its scissor doors, which add a dramatic touch to its styling.

Inside, the cabin is equipped with a futuristic triple-screen setup, including a vertically stacked infotainment system angled towards the driver. Key features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, in-built 5G connectivity, connected car technology, wireless charging, dual-zone climate control, ventilated seats, and a premium Bose audio system. Additionally, the car comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, regenerative braking, multiple airbags, and Level-2 ADAS. The scissor doors are fitted with radar sensors to ensure safety while opening upwards and outwards.

The Cyberster will be powered by a 77kWh battery pack, measuring just 110mm in thickness. It features dual oil-cooled electric motors, one on each axle, delivering a combined output of 510hp and 725Nm of torque. The all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds. MG claims a maximum driving range of 580km on a single charge (as per the CLTC cycle). The EV is equipped with a front double-wishbone suspension and a rear five-link independent suspension, ensuring dynamic handling. A balanced 50:50 weight distribution further enhances stability at high speeds.

MG Motor has launched a new Blackstorm Edition of their flagship Gloster SUV. It gets several changes on the inside as well as outside and is available only with a diesel motor. The Gloster Blackstorm edition is priced from Rs. 40.30 Lakhs (Ex-showroom).

While the basic design remains the same, the Gloster Blackstorm is offered in a Metal Black colour with red accents. Another change is the badging at the rear which now gets a new font as well as the blacked out treatment. The taillights now feature a smoked black effect as does the fog lamp surrounds and fender garnishes. It also now gets roof rails as part of the addition. Red accents also feature in headlamps, brake callipers and front and rear bumpers.

More significant changes include the new alloy wheels with an all-black treatment and a new grille design finished in Metal Ash.

MG Gloster Blackstorm Interior & Features

Mirroring the exteriors, the Gloster Blackstorm gets a new all-black interior with red trims. The seat upholstery, finished in black gets contrast red stitching while the steering wheel gets a red accent. MG has also updated the ambient lighting which is now a shade of red. Besides this, there are changes in terms of features. Equipment list includes a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, 12 way electrically adjustable driver seat with massaging function, Ventilated seats, Drive modes and more. Level 1 ADAS is also offered which includes a suite of safety features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Blindspot Detection, Lane Change Assist and more.

MG Motor in their communication has also revealed a new 8-seater layout which will be available in the standard Gloster. However, the Blackstorm Edition is available only in 6 seater and 7 seater layouts. The 6 seater layout is now exclusively reserved to the Blackstorm.

MG Gloster Blackstorm Powertrain & Price

Under the hood, the 2WD Blackstorm edition remains identical to the standard variants and remains powered by a 2.0L turbo Diesel engine with an 8 speed AT producing 163HP. The 4WD version on the other hand receives a 2.0L twin-turbo Diesel which makes 218HP. It also gets a shift-on-fly BorgWarner transfer case.
