Powering the Ferrari Amalfi Spider is a 3.9 litre twin turbocharged V8 petrol engine that produces 640 bhp and 760 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with an eight speed dual clutch automatic transmission that sends power exclusively to the rear wheels.

Ferrari claims a 0 to 100 kmph sprint time of just 3.3 seconds, while the top speed stands at 320 kmph. Despite the electrically operated soft top adding approximately 86 kg over the coupe, the convertible matches the performance figures of its fixed roof sibling, highlighting the engineering behind the vehicle.

The defining feature of the Ferrari Amalfi Spider is its electrically operated soft top, which can be opened or closed in 13.5 seconds at speeds of up to 60 kmph. Apart from the convertible roof, there are no significant changes between the coupe and the Spider in terms of design, equipment or performance.

The exterior continues with the elegant styling introduced by the Amalfi coupe. It features a long sculpted bonnet, muscular rear haunches, slim LED headlamps connected by a black strip, four LED tail lamps and quad exhaust outlets. The proportions remain clean and understated while maintaining Ferrari’s signature design language.

Inside, the Ferrari Amalfi Spider retains the same cabin layout as the coupe with a 2 plus 2 seating configuration. The dashboard houses a 15.6 inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25 inch central infotainment touchscreen and an 8.8 inch passenger display.

Other highlights include powered sports seats, a three spoke steering wheel with physical controls, aluminium finished centre console and curved air conditioning vents. The cabin has been designed to combine practicality with the premium finish expected from a Ferrari grand tourer.

The feature list includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car technology, adaptive cruise control, automatic climate control, advanced driver assistance systems, wireless phone charging and multiple personalisation options for upholstery, trim and exterior finishes. The Ferrari Amalfi Spider offers a boot capacity of 255 litres with the roof closed, which reduces to 172 litres when the roof is folded away.

With the launch of the Ferrari Amalfi Spider, Ferrari has expanded its India portfolio with a convertible that combines V8 performance, everyday usability and premium craftsmanship. Priced at Rs. 4.6 crore, the model brings the same performance and technology as the Amalfi coupe while offering the additional experience of open top motoring for enthusiasts looking for a luxury grand tourer.

Speaking to Shutterdrives during the Bengaluru media premiere, Aayush Tiwari, Country Head, Ferrari India, said that Ferrari has received a strong response from customers in India and that the brand remains committed to introducing more of its global models in the market. He also highlighted the growing demand for Ferrari’s Atelier and Tailor Made personalisation programmes, with an increasing number of Indian customers opting for bespoke exterior, interior and trim configurations to create highly customised cars.

Porsche is a carmaker well-known to make some of the most iconic stuff of all time. And what could be more characteristically Porsche than the 911 range? We had the opportunity to try out every flavour of the 911 right from the standard, purist Carerra, to the GTS Hybrid— a true marvel of technology topping it up with the enthusiast favourite GT3RS. That’s not all though. The tasty GT4RS, arguably a more nimble and agile track weapon also made an appearance as did the full range of modern electrics, including the Taycan and Macan EVs.

However, before I talk about the track, Porsche had a surprise waiting for us. Our first task for the day— taking the Cayenne range of SUVs off-road! With a curated off-road track with obstacles such as chicken holes, steep climbs, banking angles and more, the Cayenne frankly felt extremely capable. Now who would think a Porsche would perform so well off the beaten path?

Next up was the track day, a marvellous two laps in the EVs, 911s and the GT4RS each felt surreal. Now, each car was incredibly fun although I still felt more of a connect with the purist favourite Carrera. There’s just something about an unadulterated experience that truly stands out. A simply flat-six, comfortable suspension yet with the raunchy looks, the oh-so-tight handling and the ability to go really fast. The GT3RS was a whole different spectrum however. A track weapon like none-else, one simply wonders how it could be bettered in the next avatar? It’s a bit too perfect— even for a Porsche! Something to ponder about.

A quick briefing later, it was time to experience the glory of electrification with the Taycan Turbo GT. Holding the title of the fastest production electric on the Yas Marina Circuit, Dubai, the 2.2 second 0-100kmph time sounds unrealistic. But when the car squats down preparing to launch itself, you realise it means business. Oh and business it meant. With an absolute razor sharp response, its speed feels like it might just beat the latest Apollo spacecraft. There must be some sorcery involved in developing the technology behind it!

The last task for the day was a quick slalom course in the 718 Spyder RS. While just recovering from the bone-tingling Turbo GT run, it provides a completely different perspective. That of absolute precision and how Porsche makes such good-handling cars. It’s not a small car, but it feels like driving a motorcycle— so quick on its feet. A bit sad though that the course got over much before I wanted to let go of the car!

Concluding the day with an extensive shoot of the entire lineup, it felt a bit of an iconic day. Just like the Porsche brand is etched in every enthusiasts mind worldwide, here I was getting to experience the DNA one car at a time.

The MG Cyberster will feature a 77kWh battery pack measuring just 110mm in thickness. It comes paired with dual oil-cooled electric motors – one on each axle producing a combined 510hp of power and 725Nm torque. It gets AWD and can sprint from 0-100kph in just 3.2 seconds. MG claims a maximum range of 580km on a single charge (CLTC cycle). The EV will feature a front double-wishbone suspension and a rear five-link independent suspension. Stability at high speeds is enhanced by an evenly balanced 50:50 weight distribution between the front and rear.

The cabin boasts three screens, including a vertically positioned infotainment display designed with a driver-focused tilt. Key features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, built-in 5G connectivity, connected car technology, wireless charging, dual-zone climate control, ventilated seats, and a high-end Bose sound system. Additionally, it comes equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor, regenerative braking, multiple airbags, and Level-2 ADAS for enhanced safety. The Cyberster’s scissor doors are fitted with radars on both sides, allowing them to open both upwards and outwards while ensuring optimal safety.

MG M9

The M9 will be the second model available through MG’s exclusive ‘Select’ premium retail network, following the Cyberster. Built on a front-wheel-drive platform, the M9 is powered by a front-mounted electric motor paired with a 90kWh lithium battery. This setup produces 245hp and 350Nm of torque, offering a claimed WLTP range of 430km.

Available in both 7- and 8-seater configurations, the M9 comes packed with premium features, including two sunroofs—a single-pane unit at the front and a dual-pane setup for rear passengers. The front and rear seats are electronically adjustable and offer heating, ventilation, massage functions, and fold-out ottoman support. Other key highlights include power-operated rear sliding doors, rear entertainment screens, and Level 2 ADAS for advanced safety and driver assistance.

Exterior Design

Derived from the SL 63 Roadster, the Maybach SL 680 elevates its styling with distinct Maybach aesthetics. It features an illuminated front grille with vertical slats, highlighted by chrome detailing and MAYBACH lettering. The Obsidian Black bonnet bears Maybach emblems, and buyers have the option to customize the soft-top fabric roof with embossed logos.

On the sides, the car rides on 21-inch forged wheels with 36 slender spokes, centered around the iconic three-pointed star. A polished chrome strip runs along the body between the wheels, seamlessly complementing chrome accents on the door handles and front fenders. The rear sports a sleek bumper with subtle chrome touches, offering a more refined look compared to the standard SL roadster.

Interior and Features

Inside, the SL 680 shares its dashboard layout with the standard SL model but distinguishes itself with premium materials. The cabin is upholstered in white Nappa leather, while the dashboard integrates satin silver-finished AC vents and a new three-spoke steering wheel. Maybach logos adorn the roll hoops, reinforcing its exclusivity.

Tech-wise, the luxury roadster boasts a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.9-inch central touchscreen infotainment system powered by Mercedes’ AI-driven MBUX multimedia interface, ensuring an advanced and seamless user experience.

Engine

Under the hood, the Maybach SL 680 retains the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 from the SL 63 but is tuned for higher performance. Generating 585 hp and 800 Nm of torque, it is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission that drives all four wheels. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds. Additionally, the exhaust system has been refined for a quieter cabin, while the suspension has been adjusted to maximize ride comfort.
