Tata Nexon EV prices slashed, now gets 453kms range

Tata Motors has reduced prices of the Nexon EV by upto Rs. 85,000. A new base variant has also been added for the Max lineup which offers a larger battery pack. This development comes shortly after Mahindra launched the XUV400.

Tata has also made software updates to the Nexon EV Max which now gets a slightly better certified range of 453kms, an increase of 16kms over the current version. What’s more, Tata will offer this update for free to existing Nexon EV Max owners. This update will be rolled out by February 15 and owners can get their vehicles updated at authorised service centres. Besides this, Tata has also introduced a new XM Max variant which becomes the entry point of the Max range. It is available with an option of 3.3kW and 7.2kW chargers.

The new XM Max variant is priced at Rs. 16.49 Lakhs and Rs. 16.99 Lakhs (Ex-showroom). Prices of other variants have been reduced by upto Rs. 85,000 as well.

 

Otherwise, the Nexon EV remains unchanged and comes with features such as an electric sunroof, projector headlamps, cruise control, connected car technology, auto diming IRVM, wireless phone charger and more. It makes 141HP and 250NM. There are two battery sizes- 30.2kWh for the Prime variants and 40.5kWh for Max variants.

The updated Nexon EV Max competes with rivals such as the recently launched Mahindra XUV400, MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona.
