Tata Tiago NRG iCNG launched

Tata has launched the CNG-powered variant of its cross-hatchback Tiago NRG. With iCNG, the car becomes the third model in Tata’s lineup to offer such an option.

The NRG iCNG, much like its siblings gets powered by a 1.2L three-cylinder Revotron engine paired to a 5 speed manual transmission. This combo produces 85HP and 113NM. While running on CNG, the output drops to 73HP and 95NM. While Tata has not revealed mileage figures, expect them to be similar to the 26.49Km/Kg from the Tiago and Tigor iCNG.

The Tiago NRG is the raised cross-hatch version of the Tiago. In addition to the higher ground clearance of 177mm, it also receives faux roof rails and skid plates, black cladding, blacked out wing mirrors and B and C Pillars along with a satin black tailgate garnish. In terms of equipment, the Tiago NRG receives features such as the 15 inch “Hyperstyle” steel wheels, all-black interiors,  digital instrument cluster, keyless entry and go among more.

The Tiago NRG iCNG is available in two variants- XT and XZ. Four colours are offered including Foresta Green, Fire Red,
Polar White, and Cloudy Grey. Prices for the variants are Rs. 7.40 Lakhs and Rs. 7.80 Lakhs (Ex-showroom) respectively- a premium of Rs. 90,000 over their petrol counterparts.
