The Auto Expo 2023 will take place from the 13th to 18th of January at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. Being India’s most anticipated automotive industry event of the year, there are of course a handful of vehicle and component manufacturers slated to be present, and the Indian giant Maruti Suzuki will be among the bunch.
Here’s what to expect from India’s largest carmaker.
Maruti Suzuki products on display at the Auto Expo 2023
Maruti Suzuki will have a gargantuan array of 16 cars on show at the Auto Expo‘23, both new launches and existing offerings. Among new launches, the company is supposed to be showcasing their first electric concept vehicle for India, codenamed ‘YY8’; the production version of which is to roll out in 2025. This EV concept will be different from the Futuro-e concept revealed at the 2020 Auto Expo by the carmaker, and will be based on a new and bespoke EV platform.
In conjunction, two new SUV’s: namely the hotly awaited Suzuki Jimny in both 3 and 5-door guises, and a Baleno hatchback-based variant, internally known as ‘YTB’, are also to break cover for India. A WagonR Flex Fuel prototype is on the cards for the Auto Expo 2023.
What else on offer:
To be housed at hall 9, the Maruti Suzuki pavilion will have the Grand SUV amphitheatre, with its affairs spread across 4 zones: Sustainability, Technology, Innovation and Adventure Zones.

Maruti Suzuki will showcase its hybrid powerplants for perusal, in addition but not limited to other innovations such a Robotic Touchscreen Arm and talk-of-the-town Virtual Reality.
The Innovation Zone will incorporate some of the brand’s newest strides in consumer engagement, with fans getting a chance to interact with 3D models of social media stars. Apart from that, expect to have other variants of fan activities with something for everyone at the Maruti Suzuki pavilion, including exhibition of innovation even in a vehicular scale.
Sustainability Zone will include a showcase of the brand’s efforts towards a greener future, by activities like ‘Sustainability Tree’. One can expect to have a display of Suzuki’s hybrid and electric tech here.
