Yamaha has launched a refreshed version of its 150cc street naked, the MT15. It gets a host of changes and two new colours as well.
Changes on the mechanical side include new USD forks and a new Aluminium swingarm which Yamaha claims improves braking stability and handling in corners. The powertrain remains unchanged and it still remains powered by a 155cc SOHC liquid-cooled engine with VVA(Variable Valve Actuation) mated to a six speed gearbox producing 18.4PS @ 10,000rpm and 14.1NM @ 7500rpm.
As for features, it gets an updated fully digital LCD cluster with Bluetooth connectivity through the Y-Connect app. This can display information such as SMS and call alerts, last parked location, fuel consumption etc.
The new MT15 Version 2.0 also receives two new colours with updated graphics- Cyan Storm and Racing Blue in addition to the existing Ice Fluo-Vermillion and Metallic Black options. It is now starts at Rs. 1,59,000 (Ex-showroom Delhi). The MT15 competes with the Bajaj Pulsar NS200, KTM Duke 125 and the TVS Apache 200 4V among others.
