Mahindra first showcased the Vision S concept during its annual Independence Day event on August 15, 2025. At the time, the company confirmed that the SUV would arrive in 2027 as part of its future product lineup. Based on the development timeline and the fact that road testing has already begun, the launch still appears to be on track for 2027. The Vision S will also be among the first products to use Mahindra’s new NU_IQ platform, which has been designed to support internal combustion, electric and hybrid powertrains.

Mahindra Vision S – Expected Exterior Design

The latest test mule suggests that the production Vision S will remain largely faithful to the concept shown last year. Despite being heavily camouflaged, the overall silhouette closely matches the concept vehicle, indicating that Mahindra has retained much of its original design.

The Vision S is expected to be a sub-4m SUV and carries a rugged, upright stance. Several styling cues appear to be inspired by the Mahindra Scorpio. Even the name Vision S is believed to reference the Scorpio, leading many industry observers to believe that the model could eventually be positioned as a sportier alternative within Mahindra’s SUV lineup.

At the front, the test mule features LED headlamps, although it remains unclear whether these are the final production units. The SUV also gets a tall bonnet and a boxy profile that reinforces its rugged appearance. At the rear, one of the most noticeable features is the tailgate mounted spare wheel, similar to what is seen on models like the Thar and Bolero. Another detail revealed through the latest spy shots is the presence of flush fitting door handles, similar to what is seen on the Mahindra XUV 7XO.

Mahindra Vision S – Expected Interior Design

The latest spy photographs have also provided the first look inside the Vision S. The cabin appears to retain several design elements from the concept showcased in 2025. The dashboard layout and the shape of the air conditioning vents appear similar to what was displayed on the concept vehicle.

The test vehicle features a dual screen setup for the instrument cluster and infotainment system. It is also fitted with a two spoke steering wheel that resembles the unit seen on Mahindra’s BE electric vehicles. However, since this is an early test vehicle, the steering wheel may not represent the final production version.

The test mule is equipped with an automatic transmission and features a centrally mounted gear selector along with a centre armrest. The spy shots also reveal the presence of a sunroof and height adjustable seat belts. Another notable aspect of the cabin is the extensive use of physical buttons for several functions instead of relying entirely on touchscreen controls. Mahindra Vision S – Expected Powertrain

Mahindra has not revealed the powertrain options for the Vision S. However, during the unveiling of the NUIQ platform in 2025, the company confirmed that the architecture has been developed to support petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric powertrains.

Given its expected position in Mahindra’s sub four meter SUV range, the Vision S could borrow engines from the company’s existing lineup. The current XUV300 is offered with a 1.5 litre diesel engine, a 1.2 litre turbo petrol engine and a more powerful 1.2 litre TGDI turbo petrol engine. These powertrains could find their way into the Vision S. An electric version and a hybrid variant are also possibilities, although Mahindra has not confirmed any details yet.

Mahindra has not announced an official launch date for the Vision S. However, the company had earlier indicated a 2027 introduction, and the latest round of testing suggests development is progressing as planned. In Maruti Suzuki’s lineup, the Fronx sits below the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, acting as a style-focused crossover alternative. Alongside this, the facelifted Baleno has also been spotted testing recently, suggesting a broader update strategy for Maruti’s premium lineup.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Facelift – Expected Exterior Design

Based on the test mule, the updates appear to be subtle rather than radical. The overall silhouette remains largely unchanged, continuing with the coupe-like roofline that defines the Fronx’s design. The stance and dimensions also seem identical to the current model, reinforcing that this is more of a cosmetic refresh than a complete overhaul.

That said, minor revisions are expected across the front fascia, including slight tweaks to the grille and headlamp design. The bumpers at both ends could also receive updates, while the rear may get refreshed tail-light detailing. These changes should help the Fronx look sharper and more contemporary without straying too far from its existing design language.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Facelift – Expected Interior Design and Features

The spy shots do not reveal the interior, but the current Maruti Suzuki Fronx already offers a fairly loaded cabin with a 9-inch touchscreen, a 360-degree camera, a heads-up display, climate control and connected car technology.

With the facelift, Maruti Suzuki could push things further by introducing a larger infotainment screen along with an updated user interface and user experience. Improvements in material quality are also likely, along with the possibility of a premium sound system. Given how competitive the segment has become, the addition of a sunroof cannot be ruled out either. However, these remain speculative and will only be confirmed at the time of launch.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Facelift – Expected Powertrains

Mechanically, the Fronx facelift is expected to retain its existing engine options. The 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 89 hp and 113 Nm of torque and is offered with both manual and AMT options, along with a CNG variant in manual form. The more performance-oriented 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine delivers 99 hp and 148 Nm of torque and comes paired with either a manual or a torque converter automatic.

Looking ahead, there is a strong possibility that Maruti Suzuki could introduce a strong hybrid or even a flex-fuel version of the Fronx. Reports suggest that these powertrains are being actively evaluated, which could significantly enhance the model’s appeal from an efficiency standpoint.

While the test mules suggest that development is well underway, there is currently no official confirmation from Maruti Suzuki regarding the exact launch timeline. Based on the stage of testing, the Fronx facelift is expected to make its debut sometime in the second half of 2026

Currently the Maruti Suzuki Fronx is priced between ₹6.85 lakh and ₹11.98 lakh (ex-showroom), the updated model is expected to command a slight premium over the existing version. While the exact increase remains uncertain, a price bump is almost inevitable given the upgrades.

Competing with rivals like the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Syros, Toyota Taisor, Skoda Kylaq and Mahindra XUV 3XO the Fronx continues to stand out with its coupe-inspired styling and urban-focused appeal.

The Hyundai Venue N Line introduces a sharper, more athletic design language than its standard counterpart. Distinguishing elements include N Line-specific front and rear bumpers with red accents, a dark chrome radiator grille with N badging, and dark-metallic silver skid plates. The SUV runs on 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels with red brake calipers, matched with body-coloured cladding and side sill garnishes featuring red highlights.

At the rear, a twin-tip exhaust and N Line emblem underline its performance DNA. The SUV is offered in five monotone and three dual-tone colour options, such as Atlas White, Dragon Red, and Hazel Blue, with select versions pairing a contrasting Abyss Black roof. Safety has seen a significant upgrade in the Hyundai Venue N Line, which now comes equipped with ADAS Level 2 and 21 driver-assistance functions. The structure utilises 71% high-strength steel, combining hot-stamped, ultra-high, and advanced high-strength materials for better impact absorption.

Standard safety equipment includes Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System , and a total of 70 advanced safety features, of which 41 are standard across variants.

The Hyundai Venue N Line will be offered in two variants – N6 (MT/DCT) and N10 (DCT) – with bookings open for ₹25,000. It targets urban buyers looking for a balance of performance, design, and technology without stepping into a higher price bracket.

The Venue N Line does not have direct performance orient rivals but will go up against the Maruti Suzuki Fronx Turbo, Skoda Kylaq, Kia Sonet 1.0 Turbo and Mahindra XUV 3XO 1.2 TGDI. While slightly more expensive than the regular Venue, the Hyundai Venue N Line positions itself as a niche offering for those who want performance and engagement as much as everyday convenience.
