Suzuki Motorcycle India has rolled out updates for its scooter range by introducing OBD-2B-compliant engines for the Avenis and Burgman Street models. With this upgrade, the entire lineup, including the Access, Avenis, Burgman Street, and Burgman Street EX, now conforms to the latest emission standards. Here’s what’s new.
Burgman Street EX: Key Updates
The Burgman Street EX, Suzuki’s premium maxi-scooter, has now been updated to meet OBD-2B emission norms. It retains its 124cc engine, continuing to produce 8.5 hp and 10 Nm of torque. Some of its key features include Suzuki Eco Performance Alpha (SEP-α) technology, an Engine Auto Stop-Start (EASS) system, and a Silent Starter System.
A fresh Metallic Matte Stellar Blue shade has been added to the color lineup, alongside existing options like Metallic Matte Black No. 2 and Metallic Royal Bronze. This top-spec variant is priced at ₹1.16 lakh (ex-showroom), while the standard Burgman Street starts at ₹95,800 (ex-showroom).
Suzuki Avenis: What’s New?
The Suzuki Avenis remains unchanged in design, size, and mechanical components but now features an upgraded 124.3cc single-cylinder engine that complies with OBD-2B norms. It continues to deliver 8.5 hp and 10 Nm of torque.
Additionally, Suzuki has launched a Special Edition variant featuring a dual-tone color scheme—Metallic Matte Black No. 2 paired with Matte Titanium Silver—along with a Burgundy seat.
