Mahindra XUV 3XO becomes first SUV under Rs 12 lakh to Get This Feature: Details

Mahindra & Mahindra has expanded the feature list in the XUV 3XO with the headline being the integration of Dolby Atmos, claiming the XUV 3XO REVX A the first SUV globally under ₹12 lakh to offer this immersive audio system. Mahindra most recently revealed four bold new concept cars based on a brand-new “NU_IQ” platform at their flagship Independence Day event.

Mahindra XUV 3XO – Exterior Design

The XUV 3XO retains the bold stance Mahindra has cultivated across its SUV range. The dimensions are, 3990 mm in length, 1821 mm in width, and 1647 mm in heightIt has a 2600 mm wheelbase, making it the highest in the segment.

The model is available in multiple trims levels such as MX series, AX series and the most recently launched REVX series, with subtle changes in exterior finishes, lighting elements, and wheel options across variants. Mahindra has attempted to differentiate each variant while maintaining a consistent design language.

Mahindra XUV 3XO – Interior Design

Inside, the Mahindra XUV 3XO’s cabin feels modern and yet functional. The introduction of Dolby Atmos, available in four variants including REVX A, AX5L, AX7, and AX7L, sets a new precedent for audio quality in this segment. The system features a six-speaker layout, tuned specifically for the SUV’s cabin acoustics, while the AX7L goes further by adding a subwoofer.XUV 3XO

Integration of Gaana streaming allows users direct access to Dolby Atmos Music, turning the car into an entertainment space on wheels. Beyond audio, the SUV features a dual 10.25-inch screen one for infotainment and one for the drivers display, leatherette seats, wireless charging, cooled seats (higher variants) and even an option of a single-pane or panoramic sunroof depending on the variant chosen.

Mahindra XUV 3XO – Engine and Powertrain

The SUV offers a choice of petrol and diesel powertrains with both manual and automatic transmission option across variants, catering to a wide consumer base. The two petrol variants on offer are the 1.2L mStallion TCMPFi engine with 110 Hp and 200 Nm and 1.2L mStallion TGDi engine delivering 130 Hp and 230 Nm. The petrols can be had with either manual or a torque converter automatic.

The sole diesel engine on offer is the 1.5 turbo-diesel producing 115 hp and 300 Nm of torque, this engine can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or an AMT (Automated Manual).

Mahindra XUV 3XO – Safety

Safety continues to be a major focus for the compact SUV segment. The XUV 3XO includes standard safety measures such as six airbags, ABS with EBD, and stability control in higher trims. Also to be noted is that the 3XO holds a 5-star safety rating from B-NCAP.

The inclusion of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) in select variants further improves the safety suite of the car.

Mahindra XUV 3XO – Market Positioning and Rivals

With the XUV 3XO, Mahindra competes in the sub-4m SUV segment that includes models like the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet & Syros, Tata Nexon, and Maruti Brezza. Mahindra has also announced that all four variants of XUV 3XO with Dolby Atmos will be available for customers from mid-September.

The SUV also aligns with higher-positioned Mahindra models such as the XEV 9e, BE 6, and Thar ROXX, all equipped with Dolby Atmos. With this addition, the XUV 3XO becomes the fourth Mahindra vehicle to feature this technology.
