2025 TVS Apache RTX Launched – Check out India’s Latest Adventure Motorcycle

TVS Motor Company has officially entered the adventure touring motorcycle category with the launch of the all-new TVS Apache RTX, priced at ₹1.99 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). The motorcycle represents TVS’ first step into the adventure rally tourer space, expanding its well-established Apache lineup beyond street and track-oriented bikes. With this launch, the company has also introduced its all-new RT-XD4 engine platform, developed entirely in-house and aimed at setting new benchmarks for performance and durability. TVS most recently launched the Orbiter electric scooter in India which is priced at ₹99,900.

TVS Apache RTX – Design and Styling

The design of the TVS Apache RTX feels like a modern interpretation of rally-inspired adventure touring. It adopts a forward-leaning silhouette that merges the headlamp and fuel tank into a unified structure, TVS claims this helps in enhancing aerodynamic efficiency. The motorcycle’s stance feels butch, with muscular lines and sculpted bodywork. You get a high-set front beak, sharp LED headlamp with DRLs, and integrated fairing.

The TVS Apache RTX is available in five distinct colours — Viper Green, Metallic Blue, Pearl White, Lightning Black, and Tarn Bronze. Each shade is complemented by signature Apache Red highlights.

TVS Apache RTX – Engine and Performance

Powering the TVS Apache RTX is a 299.1cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine. This new motor is the first to be built on the RT-XD4 platform. The engine produces 36 PS at 9,000 rpm and 28.5 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox that features an assist and slipper clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter.

The engine employs what TVS calls “4 Dual Technologies” — dual overhead cams, dual oil pumps, dual jacket cooling, and a dual breather system. TVS claim these systems work together to improve thermal management, reduce friction, and maintain consistent performance over long rides.

TVS Apache RTX – Suspension and Chassis

The TVS Apache RTX is underpinned by a brand new steel trellis frame designed to provide optimal structural efficiency and balanced weight distribution. TVS claims this new chassis enhances rider confidence across varying terrains, from tarmac stretches to rugged trails. At the front, the motorcycle is equipped with long-travel inverted cartridge forks from WP. At the rear, a mono-tube shock absorber with a floating piston (MFP) carries out the suspension duties.

TVS Apache RTX – Features and Technology

The TVS Apache RTX offers four distinct ride modes — Urban, Rain, Tour, and Rally. The company says that these drive modes allow the motorcycle to deliver optimal control across city commutes, long highways, and off-road conditions.

The cockpit features a high-resolution 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, offering navigation through map mirroring, ride analytics, and smartphone notifications.

Safety systems such as cruise control, traction control, terrain-adaptive ABS, and wheelie mitigation take care of rider safety. The TVS Apache RTX also comes equipped with ride-by-wire throttle, adjustable levers, and a quickshifter, that claims to enhance performance and safety. The higher variants also get a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

TVS has also focused on practicality by offering modular mounts for luggage and impact protection. The touring accessories include a raised front fender, bash plate, tank guard, knuckle guards, and a USB charger. Additionally, GIVI side panniers and a top box with a Monolock system can be added at an additional cost.

TVS Apache RTX – Price and Variants

The TVS Apache RTX will be offered in three variants — BTO (Built To Order), Top, and Base. The range-topping BTO variant, priced at ₹2.29 lakh, comes equipped with adjustable suspension and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). Positioned below it, the Top variant costs ₹2.14 lakh. The entry-level Base variant, available at an introductory price of ₹1.99 lakh
