2025 Ducati Multistrada V2 Launched: Price, Features, Specs

Ducati has rolled out the 2025 Multistrada V2 lineup in India, introducing its updated middleweight adventure tourer to the market. The bike is offered in multiple variants – the standard V2 finished in Ducati Red, priced at ₹18.88 lakh, while the V2 S is available in Ducati Red and Storm Green, tagged at ₹20.99 lakh and ₹21.29 lakh respectively (all prices ex-showroom). Bookings can be made online or at authorised Ducati showrooms across the country, with deliveries expected to commence shortly.

The latest Multistrada V2 range features Ducati’s reworked 890cc Testastretta twin-cylinder engine, now compliant with India’s E20 fuel norms. The standard variant tips the scales at 199 kg, and the S version at 202 kg (dry), both marking a weight reduction of about 18 kg compared to the previous generation.

Ducati Multistrada V2 – Design and Features

Visually, the 2025 Multistrada V2 carries forward Ducati’s design DNA with more streamlined, muscular proportions. The sharper front fascia draws inspiration from the Panigale and Multistrada V4, complemented by a new LED headlight setup with integrated DRLs and a redesigned exhaust unit. The higher-spec V2 S variant adds a 5-inch TFT display with updated switchgear, providing intuitive control over the bike’s riding data and the Ducati Multimedia System (DMS), which enables smartphone pairing, navigation support, and mode customization on the go.

Ducati Multistrada V2 – Suspension and Braking

Suspension duties are handled by a 45mm Marzocchi fork and monoshock with mechanical adjustability on the base model, offering 170mm of travel at both ends. The S trim steps it up with Ducati’s Skyhook Suspension (DSS), an adaptive semi-active setup that automatically adjusts damping based on terrain and riding inputs. It also gets a Minimum Preload function, which lowers the suspension height when the motorcycle stops, aiding comfort and reach for riders of all sizes.

The motorcycle rides on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel combination, shod with Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tyres. Stopping power comes from Brembo brakes with dual 320mm discs up front and a single 265mm disc at the rear, assisted by cornering ABS. A six-axis IMU governs Ducati’s suite of electronic aids, including Traction Control, Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control, and Cornering ABS, ensuring stability and safety in varying conditions.

Ducati Multistrada V2 – Frame

Ducati has revised the frame, subframe, and swingarm with a carefully balanced blend of steel and aluminium, resulting in better mass distribution and improved handling. The seat is now narrower and positioned lower, enhancing rider reach and comfort. Mounting points for the panniers and top box have been repositioned slightly rearward to free up space and improve load stability, and multiple seat height options are available for both rider and pillion.

Ducati Multistrada V2 – Powertrain

Powering the machine is an 890cc liquid-cooled V2 engine delivering 114 bhp at 10,750 rpm and 92 Nm of torque at 8,250 rpm. The motor features variable intake valve timing and a lightweight build of just under 55 kg. It’s paired with a six-speed transmission, with the V2 S benefitting from Ducati Quick Shift 2.0 for seamless clutchless gear changes. The service interval for valve clearance has been extended to 45,000 km, further boosting practicality for long-distance riders. Ducati offers five distinct riding modes – Sport, Touring, Urban, Enduro, and Wet with each fine-tuned for throttle response, suspension feel, and electronic intervention.
