2026 Tata Punch EV Facelift set for launch tomorrow: All you need to know

The Tata Punch EV facelift is all set to launch tomorrow and this marks Tata Motors second launch for the year. The first launch from Tata Motors this year was the facelifted internal combustion version of the Punch which was introduced just last month. Now, the Punch EV facelift builds on that update and brings similar changes to the electric version of the car.

Tata Motors has already partially unveiled the Punch EV facelift through its social media handles and official YouTube channels through a series of teaser videos. These videos give us a fair idea of what to expect from the Punch EV facelift. This is all we know so far about the Tata Punch EV facelift and we will bring you more details once the car is officially launched tomorrow.

Tata Punch EV – Exterior Design

The Punch EV facelift features a revised front fascia that gets a new bumper design along with an updated headlight cluster and new LED DRLs. These updates give the Punch EV a more modern look when compared to the outgoing version. The teaser videos also reveal that the facelift will be offered in a few new colour options.

At the rear, the facelift gets a connected tail light design which is similar to what we saw on the recently launched ICE version of the Punch. The Tata Punch EV also gets a new set of alloy wheels which were seen in the teaser images shared by Tata Motors.

In terms of dimensions, the Tata Punch EV facelift appears to remain unchanged when compared to the outgoing model. The ground clearance, boot capacity and overall size of the Tata Punch EV facelift are expected to be similar to the current model but we will be able to confirm these details only after the official launch tomorrow.

Tata Punch EV – Interior Design and Features

On the inside, the Tata Punch EV facelift appears very similar to the recently introduced ICE Punch facelift. The teaser videos shared by Tata Motors show a similar touchscreen setup along with a digital instrument cluster in the Tata Punch EV facelift.

While the exact screen size and feature list of the Punch EV facelift will only be revealed at launch, the videos indicate that it will come equipped with wireless smartphone connectivity that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Tata Punch EV facelift will also feature regenerative braking modes considering that it is an electric vehicle. Apart from this, the overall layout of the cabin in the Tata Punch EV facelift seems largely unchanged when compared to the facelifted ICE Punch.

Tata Punch EV – Battery Pack and Range

The Punch EV facelift is expected to continue with the same battery pack options as the outgoing Tata Punch EV. However, there could be minor improvements made to the efficiency and overall driving range of the Punch EV facelift.

As of now, Tata Motors has not officially confirmed any changes to the battery specifications of the Punch EV facelift. All details regarding the updated range and performance figures of the Tata Punch EV facelift will be announced at the time of launch tomorrow.

Tata Punch EV – Safety

The outgoing Tata Punch EV received a five star rating from Bharat NCAP. It is expected that the Tata Punch EV will continue to offer similar safety features such as six airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts and electronic stability control.

Since the Tata Punch EV facelift is based on the same platform as the previous model, we expect it to retain similar safety credentials. However, exact safety details of the Tata Punch EV facelift will be confirmed only after official crash testing is conducted by either Bharat NCAP or Global NCAP in the future.

Tata Punch EV – Market Positioning and Rivals

Currently, the Tata Punch EV is positioned as an entry level electric SUV in the Indian market and the Tata Punch EV facelift is expected to carry forward the same positioning with a slightly higher price owing to the updates.

In terms of rivals, the Tata Punch EV will compete with the Citroen eC3. Within the Tata Motors lineup, the Tata Punch EV facelift will also rival the lower variants of the Tata Nexon EV as well as the base variants of the Mahindra XUV3XO EV. All details regarding the Tata Punch EV facelift including pricing and full specifications will be revealed once the car is officially launched tomorrow
