Tata Motors has launched an all new variant of its flagship electric SUV, the Tata Harrier EV. Called the Fearless Plus QWD, this is now the most affordable all wheel drive version of the Harrier EV. Priced at Rs 26.49 lakh, it undercuts the earlier Empowered QWD 75 variant by Rs 2.5 lakh, making AWD more accessible to buyers. Alongside this, Tata has also introduced a new Seaweed Green exterior colour across the lineup.
Tata Harrier EV – Exterior Design
There are no visual changes with this update. The Harrier EV continues with the same design that we have seen since the facelifted Harrier was introduced in 2023. It carries a familiar road presence but adds a few EV specific elements. At the front, the SUV gets a closed off grille, connected LED DRLs and projector headlamps. There are also LED fog lamps that blend well with the overall design. The side profile remains clean and strong, now complemented by aero optimized alloy wheels that improve efficiency.

At the rear, the connected LED tail lamps give it a modern look. In terms of dimensions, the Harrier EV is slightly larger than the ICE version. It is 2 mm longer and 22 mm taller, while the wheelbase remains unchanged at 2741 mm. The new Seaweed Green shade adds a fresh option for buyers looking for something different.
Tata Harrier EV – Interior Design and Features
Inside, the Fearless Plus variant comes well equipped and focuses on comfort and practicality. You get a 12.3 inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is easy to use and responsive. The driver seat is 6 way powered with memory function, while the co driver seat gets 2 way power adjustment.
Comfort features include ventilated front seats, dual zone climate control, ambient lighting and rear window shades. The SUV also comes with a 360 degree camera and a 10 speaker JBL sound system that offers a good audio experience.

Other features of the Harrier EV include a wireless charger and connected car tech. However, this variant misses out on some premium features seen on higher trims. These include auto park assist, level 2 ADAS, a larger 14.53 inch touchscreen, a Dolby Atmos sound system and a panoramic sunroof.
Tata Harrier EV – Safety Features
Safety remains unchanged with this new variant. The Tata Harrier EV continues to be based on a strong platform and comes with essential safety features as standard.

These include six airbags, electronic stability control, ISOFIX child seat mounts and other standard systems that ensure a safe driving experience. While this variant skips advanced driver assistance systems, it still offers a solid safety package for most buyers.
Tata Harrier EV – Battery Pack and Range
The Fearless Plus QWD comes with a dual motor setup that delivers 389 horsepower and 504 Nm of torque. This gives the SUV strong performance and allows it to go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.3 seconds.

It uses a 75 kWh battery pack that offers a claimed range of 622 km as per the MIDC cycle. Interestingly, the rear wheel drive version offers a slightly higher claimed range of 627 km. There is also a smaller 65 kWh battery pack available on other variants. The SUV supports fast charging and can add up to 250 km of range in just 15 minutes, making it practical for long distance travel.
Tata Harrier EV – Market Positioning and Rivals
With a price of Rs 26.49 lakh, this new variant makes the all wheel drive Harrier EV more attainable. It sits Rs 2.5 lakh below the Empowered QWD75 variant, which is priced at Rs 28.99 lakh. In terms of competition, the Harrier EV takes on models like the Mahindra XEV 9e, BYD Atto 3, higher variants of the Hyundai Creta Electric and the MG ZS EV.
