The facelifted Volkswagen Taigun has been revealed for the Indian market, marking its first major update since its launch in 2021. Volkswagen Taigun Facelift – Exterior Design

The new Taigun gets a refreshed front design that aligns it with newer global Volkswagen SUVs like the Volkswagen Tiguan and Volkswagen Tayron. The front fascia now features redesigned LED headlights connected by a slim LED light bar. An illuminated Volkswagen logo is offered at both the front and the rear, which is a new addition in this segment.

One noticeable change is the removal of fog lamps. In their place are two chrome elements that give the front a cleaner look. The silhouette of the SUV remains unchanged, with the same 2651 mm wheelbase. Volkswagen has also introduced new alloy wheel designs ranging from 16 inch to 17 inch depending on the variant.

The Taigun is now offered in nine colour options. Two new shades have been added, Avocado Pearl and Steel Grey. Existing colours include Wild Cherry Red, Candy White, Deep Black Pearl, Lava Blue, Silver Carbon Steel, and Carbon Steel Matte.

The Taigun facelift continues with two engine options. The 1.0 litre TSI engine produces 115 hp and 178 Nm torque. It is available with a 6 speed manual or a new 8 speed automatic transmission. The earlier model came with a 6 speed automatic, making this a key update.

The 1.5 litre TSI engine continues with active cylinder technology. It produces 150 hp and 250 Nm torque and is paired with a 7 speed DSG gearbox. This engine now gets rear disc brakes along with red brake calipers. The earlier setup had rear drum brakes. The 1.0 litre variant continues with front disc and rear drum brakes.
