Jeep India have launched the Jeep Meridian Track Edition, essentially a special edition of the Jeep Meridian. The all-new Track Edition features updated styling elements on the exterior and few interior enhancements like contrast stitching and updated material finishes. The highlight of the new Track Edition is the sliding 2nd row seats, which were previously absent on the Meridian. Priced at ₹35.95 lakhs a premium of ₹34,000 over the current top of the line Overland trim.
Jeep Meridian Track Edition – Exterior Design
The Jeep Meridian Track Edition carries forward the same overall exterior design as the standard Meridian, with no changes to its dimensions. It measures 4769 mm in length, 1859 mm in width, 1698 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2782 mm, which remains identical to the regular model.

In terms of design, the Meridian continues to feature Jeep’s signature seven-slat grille, LED headlamps, LED daytime running lights, LED fog lamps, and LED tail lamps. The Track Edition differentiates itself from the standard Meridian with Piano Black accents on the grille, badges, and exterior mouldings, along with 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, a Dark Espresso grille with Neutral Grey highlights, a Track Edition hood decal, and exclusive Track Edition insignia. These additions are cosmetic, while the overall exterior size and proportions of the SUV remain unchanged.
Jeep Meridian Track Edition – Interior Design and Features
With this update, the Jeep Meridian Track Edition now gets a newly added 140 mm sliding second-row seat. Jeep claims that this improves third-row space and makes entry and exit to the last row easier, enhancing ingress and egress for passengers.

On the inside, the Track Edition gets a dual-tone Tupelo interior with suede inserts, along with contrast stitching and quilting on the seats and bolsters. The cabin also features Dark Espresso accents with Piano Black bezels, a Cortina leather-wrapped steering wheel with stitching, and Track Edition branding on the cabin and floor mats.

Apart from this, the Jeep Meridian continues to be offered with features such as a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster with integrated navigation, 12-way powered front seats with lumbar support, a memory function for the driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, integrated voice commands, 360 degree camera and a 9-speaker Alpine sound system.
Jeep Meridian Track Edition – Powertrain and Drivetrain
The Meridian Track Editon does not feature any upgrades to the powertrain and it continues with the same 2.0 litre turbo-diesel engine as seen on the standard variants. This diesel mill puts out 170 hp and 350 Nm of torque and is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.

The Jeep Meridian Track Edition is available in two variants — a front-wheel drive automatic and a 4×4 automatic. There is no manual transmission on offer. The 4×4 variant gets traction modes such as Auto, Mud, Sand, and Snow. Additionally, both variants come equipped with frequency selective damping suspension and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Jeep Meridian Track Edition – Safety Features
In terms of safety, the Jeep Meridian Track Edition is equipped with Level 2 ADAS features including Intelligent Speed Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, Adaptive Cruise Control with Forward Collision Warning and Braking, Blind Spot Collision Warning, Lane Keep Assist, and High Beam Assist. Along with these, it also gets standard safety features such as Traction Control, Electronic Stability Control, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, six airbags, and Electronic Roll Over Mitigation.

Jeep Meridian Track Edition – Pricing and Variants
The Jeep Meridian Track Edition comes in two variants, a front-wheel drive automatic variant priced at ₹35.95 lakh (ex-showroom) and a 4×4 automatic variant priced at ₹37.82 lakh (ex-showroom).
The variant below the Track Edition is the Overland, and with this update, the Track Edition becomes the top-of-the-line variant in the Meridian lineup. The Jeep Meridian Overland 4×4 automatic is priced at ₹37.48 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Overland two-wheel drive automatic is priced at ₹35.61 lakh (ex-showroom).
This makes the Track Edition around ₹34,000 more expensive than the Overland 4×4 automatic variant and approximately ₹34,000 more expensive than the Overland front-wheel drive automatic variant.
Jeep Meridian Track Edition – Market Positioning and Rivals
Bookings for the Jeep Meridian Track Edition have now been opened online on the Jeep India website and can also be made through authorised Jeep dealerships. In terms of market positioning, the Jeep Meridian Track Edition competes with premium seven-seat full-size SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq, Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line, and the recently unveiled MG Majestor.
