Kia India has launched the Syros sub-compact SUV, priced from Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the SUV have opened with a booking amount of Rs 25,000, and deliveries are expected to begin in mid-February. The Syros is available in two engine options and six variants: HTK, HTK (O), HTK Plus, HTX, HTX Plus, and HTX Plus (O).

Syros gets two engine options – the first engine option is a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol producing 120hp and 172Nm of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT. The second option is a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbo-diesel delivering 115hp and 250Nm of torque, available with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. These engines are shared with other models in the Hyundai and Kia lineup, including the Hyundai i20 N-line, Venue, and Kia Sonet.
The Syros follows Kia’s global design language, drawing inspiration from the Carnival and EV3 models. It features a boxy design with vertically stacked LED headlamps, a sealed upper front fascia, and integrated air intakes. The side profile includes blacked-out pillars, body-coloured B-pillars, and unique 17-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, it has L-shaped tail lamps and a two-tone bumper.
In terms of features, the Syros offers dual 12.3-inch displays for the infotainment system and instrument cluster, a wireless charger, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, OTA updates, connected car tech, and ventilated front seats. Other notable features include a powered driver’s seat, Harman Kardon sound system, panoramic sunroof, electronic parking brake, reclining rear seats, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS with features like adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking.
