Maruti Suzuki has announced prices for the e-Vitara electric SUV, starting at Rs 10.99 lakh under a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, with battery usage charged at Rs 3.99 per km. Bookings are open online and at dealerships for Rs 21,000, with deliveries set to begin soon. The e-Vitara will rival the MG ZS EV, Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Curvv EV, VinFast VF6 and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella.
Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara – Warranty and Buy back scheme
The e-Vitara is Maruti Suzuki’s first electric vehicle for India and will be built at its Gujarat plant for domestic sale and export to over 100 countries. The company is offering an eight-year battery warranty, a 60 per cent assured buy-back after three years, a complimentary home charger with installation worth Rs 50,000 and free charging for one year.
Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara – Battery Pack and Range
The SUV is available with 49 kWh and 61 kWh LFP blade battery packs sourced from BYD. The 49 kWh version uses a front-mounted motor producing 144 hp, while the 61 kWh variant delivers 174 hp; both generate 189 Nm of torque. Claimed range stands at 440 km for the smaller battery and 543 km for the larger pack.
Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara – Exterior Design
In terms of design, the e-Vitara draws from the eVX concept, featuring tri-LED daytime running lights, a closed grille, skid plates and aerodynamic alloy wheels. It measures 4,275 mm in length with a 2,700 mm wheelbase and 180 mm ground clearance.

Inside, it gets dual floating screens, a gloss black centre console with drive controls, wireless charging and leatherette upholstery. Feature highlights include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats and a JBL audio system. Safety equipment includes seven airbags, ABS, ESP, a 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS functions such as Lane Keep Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control.
