JSW MG Motor India has officially unveiled the MG Majestor, a full-size SUV, in India with pre-bookings opening today at ₹41,000. MG is positioning the Majestor as India’s first “D+ Segment” SUV. The SUV was first showcased at the Bharat Mobility Show 2025, where it was previewed as the next flagship SUV for the Indian market. Positioned above the Gloster in the MG lineup, the Majestor enters a fiercely competitive segment dominated by the Toyota Fortuner.
MG Majestor – Exterior Design
The MG Majestor’s exterior features vertically stacked headlights paired with a large grille that incorporates integrated lighting elements, giving the front a modern look. The bumper includes scuff plates for added protection, while slim LED daytime running lights run along the sides, adding to the SUV’s overall design. From the side, the Majestor’s silhouette is very similar to the Gloster, with clean lines and a long wheelbase. It rides on 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and the side profile is enhanced with thick plastic cladding and integrated footrests, highlighting its SUV stance.

At the rear, the Majestor features connected LED tail lamps, a rear scuff plate, and dual exhaust outlets. MG has replaced its traditional logo with “Morris Garages” branding, and the lower part of the boot prominently displays large “MAJESTOR” lettering, similar to what is seen on the Gloster. The Majestor is offered in 4 different exterior colours namely, Metal Black, Pearl White, Concrete Grey and Metal Ash.
MG Majestor – Interior Design and Features
The MG Majestor comes with a spacious, feature-rich cabin designed for comfort, convenience, and technology. The cabin features ebony leather seats, and the dashboard is centered around a 12.3-inch touchscreen with a good number of physical buttons for features like HVAC. The Majestor will be offered with both 6 and 7 seven seat options.
Seating and comfort features include front massage seats with eight different massage patterns, ventilated front seats, and a 12-way powered driver seat with memory function. The cabin also has three-zone automatic climate control and 64-colour ambient lighting.
The SUV is equipped with a 12-speaker JBL audio system, a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and dual wireless chargers. The infotainment system supports customizable home screens, and the i-Smart 2.0 system offers 75 connected car features, including integration with Jio services like JioSaavn, JioFiber, and Jio apps.
Practical features include a powered tailgate with kick gesture, 220V power socket in the rear, 343 litres of boot space with the third row up, and 1,350 litres with the third row folded. The Majestor also includes valet mode with a custom PIN and trip history, quiet mode to cut off selective speakers, and a digital key.
MG Majestor – Powertrain
The MG Majestor is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine producing 215 horsepower. It comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission and is available in both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel-drive configurations.

The four-wheel-drive system offers 2H, 4H, 4L, and Auto modes and includes segment-first triple differential locks at the front, centre, and rear. The SUV features multiple terrain modes such as Normal, Sand, Rock, Mud, and Snow and a Crawl Mode that automatically controls the throttle for low-speed precision. The Majestor can also handle challenging conditions with its 810 mm water wading capacity, making it capable for both urban and off-road driving.
MG Majestor – Safety Features
The MG Majestor comes equipped with a range of safety and driver-assistance features. It’s standard features include six airbags, hill hold assist, and hill descent control. The SUV also offers Level 2 ADAS, which includes lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and autonomous emergency braking (AEB). For enhanced visibility and parking assistance, the Majestor features a 360-degree HD camera, providing a complete view around the vehicle.
MG Majestor – Market Positioning and Rivals
The MG Majestor is positioned as a premium full-size SUV above the Gloster. It competes with established SUVs such as the Toyota Fortuner & Legender, Jeep Meridian, Skoda Kodiaq, and Volkswagen Tayron R-Line. MG aims to offer modern features, spacious interiors, advanced safety systems, and off-road capability to attract buyers in this segment.
MG has announced that pre-reservations open today at ₹41,000, interested customers can reserve their cars online on the MG India official website. showroom displays, price announcements, and test drives scheduled from April 2026. Deliveries will begin in May 2026. For the first 3,000 customers, MG is offering a 5-year unlimited warranty, 5 years of free roadside assistance (RSA), and 5 years of free labour services.
