Renault India has officially launched a refreshed lineup for its long-running entry-level hatchback, the Kwid. This update coincides with the car celebrating its tenth year in the Indian market.
The centerpiece of this announcement is the introduction of the exclusive, limited-run Renault Kwid 10th Anniversary Edition The company confirmed that the 10th Anniversary Edition will be restricted to just 500 units
In addition to the celebratory model, the entire Kwid portfolio receives a overhaul with new nomenclature as seen on the facelifted Kiger and Triber. The new variant names include Authentic, Evolution, Techno, and Climber. An emphasis on safety has been made, particularly in the top-tier variants.
Renault Kwid 10th Anniversary Edition – Exterior Design
The external design of the Renault Kwid 10th Anniversary Edition is based on the existing Techno variant but features over ten exclusive enhancements aimed at distinguishing it from the standard lineup. While retaining the signature SUV-inspired stance and high ground clearance of 184 mm, the special edition incorporates unique styling elements.
Specific details for the anniversary model include exterior graphics and badging that signify its sales milestone. Furthermore, the broader updated range introduces new dual-tone colour options, which are expected to cascade across the higher variants. These include a striking Fiery Red body paired with a Black Roof and a more understated Shadow Grey body combined with a Black Roof, providing an alternative to the single-tone options.
Renault Kwid 10th Anniversary Edition – Interior Design
Inside the cabin, the limited-edition model, which is based on the Techno variant, benefits from all the standard tech and creature comforts . While the fundamental layout, including the digital instrument cluster and the infotainment system, remains consistent, the Renault Kwid 10th Anniversary Edition receives exclusive interior styling cues.
These special enhancements include yellow accents on the seats, leatherette steering wheel with mustard stitching, 10th year Anniversary Edition logo on the headrests, illuminated scuff plates and puddle lamps.
Renault Kwid 10th Anniversary Edition – Engine and Powertrain
The mechanicals of the Renault Kwid 10th Anniversary Edition remains unchanged, continuing to be powered by the 1.0-litre petrol engine. The transmission options for the new variant are carried over, offering a choice between a traditional manual transmission (MT) and the convenient Easy-R AMT (Automated Manual Transmission). The company has introduced a major upgrade: all seats across all variants of the updated Kwid now feature 3-point seatbelts, including the centre passenger in the 2nd row.
The top-spec Climber variant has been upgraded to include six airbags as standard. This positions the Kwid as one of the most safety-conscious options in the entry-level segment. The new safety additions apply to all models, including the exclusive Renault Kwid 10th Anniversary Edition.

The launch of the Renault Kwid 10th Anniversary Edition also introduces revised pricing post GST benefits, the standard Kwid range now starts at ₹429,900 for the Authentic MT, ranging up to ₹599,100 for the Climber AMT Dual Tone variant (all prices ex-showroom). The specific pricing of the Renault Kwid 10th Anniversary Edition at ₹5.14 Lakhs (MT) and ₹5.63 Lakhs (AMT) places it strategically above the standard Techno variant but below the fully loaded Climber models. The refreshed model faces continued competition from the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10.
