Skoda Kodiaq RS Bookings to Open on this Date: India Launch Soon

Skoda Auto India is set to expand its performance focused RS portfolio with the introduction of the all new Skoda Kodiaq RS. With bookings scheduled to open on June 22, 2026, the upcoming SUV aims to combine strong performance credentials with everyday usability and premium appeal. The model builds on more than five decades of RS legacy along with over 125 years of motorsport heritage, reinforcing Skoda’s focus on performance driven products.

In terms of design, the Kodiaq RS is expected to stand apart from the standard model with a more aggressive and sporty appearance. The SUV features 20 inch alloy wheels along with a range of blacked out exterior elements that are characteristic of RS models. These include the grille surround, wing mirror covers, window trims, roof rails, and the D pillar, all finished in high gloss black. The tailgate lettering is also finished in black, further enhancing its sporty identity. RS specific front and rear bumpers add to the visual differentiation. The global model also comes equipped with LED Matrix beam headlamps and advanced LED tail lamps with dynamic indicators.

Skoda Kodiaq RS – Expected Interior Design and Features

The interior of the Kodiaq RS continues the sporty theme with a predominantly black cabin accented by red stitching. The cabin is designed to deliver both comfort and a performance oriented feel. Key features include electrically adjustable front sports seats with memory function and integrated head restraints. The SUV also gets a multifunction leather steering wheel and sporty pedal covers. Acoustic front side windows are designed to improve cabin insulation, ensuring a quieter driving experience.

The dashboard layout includes a 10 inch digital instrument cluster paired with a 13 inch free standing infotainment system. The infotainment unit features RS specific graphics, including a welcome screen. The Canton audio system is expected to provide an enhanced in car audio experience. Additional features include ambient lighting, decorative trim elements on the dashboard and doors, and heated rear seats. The car may also offer ventilated front seats along with premium upholstery combinations. A Canton sound system is part of the standard package internationally, although the exact feature list for the Indian model is yet to be confirmed.

Skoda Kodiaq RS – Expected Powertrain

Under the hood, the Kodiaq RS is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine. This unit produces 262 hp and 400 Nm of torque, which is 60 hp and 80 Nm more than the standard Kodiaq. Power is delivered to all four wheels through an all wheel drive system paired with a 7 speed automatic transmission. Skoda claims the SUV is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.3 seconds. It also features a Dynamic Sound Boost system to enhance engine sound inside the cabin. Driving Mode Select and the updated DCC Plus adaptive chassis system allow drivers to choose between multiple driving characteristics, with up to 15 damping settings ranging from comfort to sporty.

Skoda Kodiaq RS – Expected Price 

The Kodiaq RS is expected to be priced between Rs 55 lakh and Rs 60 lakh, placing it in the premium performance SUV category. While it does not have direct rivals, its pricing brings it close to entry level luxury SUVs in the Indian market.

With bookings opening on June 22nd, the Kodiaq RS represents Skoda’s intent to strengthen its presence in the performance SUV space in India. It combines performance, practicality, and premium features in a single package, making it a unique offering in its segment.
