JSW MG Motor India has confirmed that the MG Majestor will be revealed in India on February 12, 2026, marking the brand’s entry into a more premium tier of the full-size SUV segment. First showcased at the Bharat Mobility Show 2025, the MG Majestor is positioned above the MG Gloster and is intended to serve as the company’s flagship SUV offering in the Indian market. Ahead of its official reveal, multiple test sightings and official previews have revealed key details about the vehicle’s design, mechanicals and expected positioning.
MG Majestor – Exterior Design
The MG Majestor features a noticeably upright and muscular exterior design that clearly signals its full-size SUV status. At the front, the SUV is characterised by a large blacked-out grille with a squared-off shape, flanked by vertically stacked LED headlamps. Slim LED daytime running lights sit higher up, giving the front fascia a layered and aggressive appearance.

The bumper design is robust, with visible skid-plate elements that hint at light off-road capability. Strong shoulder lines, flared wheel arches and large alloy wheels add to the SUV’s road presence. From the side, the MG Majestor’s long wheelbase and tall stance are evident, while roof rails and substantial window lines reinforce its utilitarian yet premium intent. At the rear, the design remains boxy and functional, with connected LED tail-lamps, a sculpted tailgate and integrated exhaust outlets.
MG Majestor – Expected Interior Design
While MG Motor has not fully revealed the India-spec interior, available information from spyshots indicates that the MG Majestor will focus on technology, space and comfort. The cabin is expected to feature a dual-screen layout consisting of a large digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system, both measuring approximately 12.3 inches.
The dashboard design is likely to be an improvement and step up over the MG Gloster. Premium touches are expected, including leather upholstery, electrically adjustable front seats, ambient lighting and a panoramic sunroof.
In terms of safety and convenience, the MG Majestor is expected to offer a comprehensive package, including multiple airbags, electronic stability control, traction control, hill-start and hill-descent assist, a rear view camera system, integrated dash-cam and an electronic parking brake. Advanced driver assistance features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist and autonomous emergency braking are also expected to be offered.
MG Majestor – Expected Powertrain
The MG Majestor is expected to be offered exclusively with diesel powertrains in India. Under the hood, the SUV is likely to use a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine which could deliver approximately 210 horsepower and close to 480 Nm of torque.
The engine is expected to be paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is likely to be standard, with a four-wheel-drive system available on higher variants, enhancing the Majestor’s appeal to buyers seeking occasional off-road capability.
MG Majestor – Expected Price
MG Motor has not officially announced pricing for the MG Majestor, but industry estimates suggest that it will be positioned above the MG Gloster. The expected starting price is likely to be in the range of ₹45 lakh to ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom), with higher trims potentially priced higher depending on equipment and drivetrain configuration.
This pricing places the MG Majestor firmly in the premium full-size SUV category, targeting buyers who prioritise size, features and road presence.
MG Majestor – Market Positioning and Rivals
The MG Majestor will compete in a segment dominated by established players such as the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, Skoda Kodiaq and the upcoming Volkswagen Tayron R-Line. These rivals offer a mix of reliability, performance and brand recall, making the segment highly competitive.
MG’s strategy with the Majestor appears to focus on offering a feature-rich alternative with a strong value proposition. Whether this approach resonates with buyers will depend on final pricing, variant strategy and after-sales support
