Mahindra & Mahindra has announced its largest export order to date, confirming that it will supply 35,000 units of the Scorpio Pik-Up to Agrinas Pangan Nusantara, a state-owned enterprise in Indonesia. The vehicles will be delivered in 2026 and will be deployed under the Indonesian government’s Koperasi Desa/Kelurahan Merah Putih (KDKMP) programme.
This single order surpasses Mahindra’s total export volumes recorded in FY2025, making it a significant milestone for the company’s international operations. All units will be manufactured at Mahindra’s Nashik facility in India before being shipped to Indonesia.

The Scorpio pickup has a long-standing presence in Mahindra’s portfolio. The company introduced the Scorpio Getaway in 2007, which was sold in India as a pickup version of the Scorpio. While the Getaway was eventually discontinued in the Indian market in 2018. The Scorpio pickup continued to find traction overseas and remains part of Mahindra’s global lineup.
Scorpio Pik-Up – Exterior Design
The Scorpio Pik-Up supplied to Indonesia is based on the pre-facelift Scorpio Classic. The exterior design is identical to the earlier Scorpio Classic sold in India, featuring the same grille design, headlamp layout, and overall body proportions.

This export-spec version is the single-cab pickup, paired with an open cargo bed. It runs on 16-inch steel wheels with wheel caps, and the overall exterior design remains unchanged from earlier Scorpio-based pickup models offered by Mahindra in global markets.
Scorpio Pik-Up – Interior Design
Inside, the Scorpio Pik-Up carries over the same interior layout as the Scorpio Classic. The dashboard design, steering wheel, and instrument cluster are shared with the SUV. The cabin features power windows and standard equipment seen on the Scorpio Pik-Up. There are no notable changes to the interior design or layout for this export-spec model.
Scorpio Pik-Up – Powertrain
The Scorpio Pik-Up is powered by Mahindra’s 2.2-litre mHawk turbo-diesel engine. The engine produces 140 hp and 320 Nm of torque. Transmission duties are handled by a six-speed manual gearbox. The Scorpio Pik-Up is also available with a four-wheel-drive option, alongside standard drivetrain configurations. This powertrain combination is already used across multiple international markets.
Scorpio Pik-Up – Indonesian Market and What’s Next
The Scorpio Pik-Ups supplied under this order will be used by Agrinas Pangan Nusantara as part of a state-backed cooperative programme in Indonesia. The deployment forms part of a broader initiative aimed at strengthening the country’s cooperative network.
Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said, “We are looking forward to this association and to supporting Indonesia’s Koperasi through our partnership with Agrinas Pangan Nusantara. By deploying the Scorpio Pik Ups as a part of the Koperasi, we are strengthening a reliable logistics backbone that connects farmers to markets more efficiently.
Our Pik Ups are engineered to perform in tough conditions while keeping operating costs to a minimum. The volume committed for this partnership will significantly boost our International Operations, adding as much as our total export volumes achieved in FY 25. In line with Mahindra’s Rise philosophy, this collaboration reflects our commitment to enabling prosperity and supporting national priorities.”
Currently, the Scorpio Pik-Up is sold in several international markets, including Australia, and is also assembled locally in Durban, South Africa. The Indonesia order further strengthens Mahindra’s footprint in export markets.

Looking ahead, Mahindra & Mahindra is also testing an all-new global pickup truck based on the Scorpio N platform. This upcoming model is expected to share several underpinnings with the Scorpio N, including elements of the front fascia, and is being developed as a rival to midsize pickups such as the Toyota Hilux. The new pickup is expected to play a key role in Mahindra’s future global product strategy.
