TVS Apache RTR 160 4V has received a model year 2026 update with a focus on feature standardization across the lineup. The update brings several features from the top variant to lower trims, making the Apache RTR more value driven. There are no mechanical changes, and the Apache RTR continues with the same engine and performance figures.
TVS Apache RTR 160 4V – New features
The biggest highlight of the update is the addition of premium features across all variants of the Apache RTR. The motorcycle now comes with projector headlamps and full LED lighting as standard. This includes LED DRLs and tail lamps, giving the Apache RTR a more modern and consistent look across the range. Another key addition is the slipper clutch, which is now standard on every Apache RTR variant.

TVS Apache RTR 160 4V – Engine and Mechanicals
The Apache RTR continues to be powered by a 164cc single cylinder engine. It produces 17.6 hp and 14.7 Nm of torque. TVS has not made any changes to the engine or its tuning. The Apache RTR retains its performance characteristics, which are already well regarded in its segment. The motorcycle also continues to offer three ride modes: Sport, Urban, and Rain. TVS claims that is a segment first feature.
TVS Apache RTR 160 4V – Variants and Pricing
The Apache RTR is available in three variants.
The base variant comes with single channel ABS, telescopic front suspension, and a digital LCD display. It is priced at ₹1.25 lakh ex showroom and is offered in Matte Black and Racing Red.
The mid variant gets dual channel ABS and upside down front suspension. It also features adjustable levers but does not include traction control. This version of the Apache RTR is priced at ₹1.30 lakh ex showroom and is available in Matte Black, Granite Gray, and Pearl White.
The top variant includes dual channel ABS, upside down suspension, traction control, and a 5 inch TFT display. It also gets adjustable levers. This Apache RTR variant is priced at ₹1.37 lakh ex showroom and is available in Matte Black, Racing Red, and Marine Blue.
TVS Apache RTR 160 4V – TVS SmartXConnect
All variants of the Apache RTR come equipped with TVS SmartXConnect. This system offers features like turn by turn navigation, call alerts, and other connected functions. The inclusion of this feature across variants enhances the overall practicality of the Apache RTR.
With the 2026 update, the Apache RTR becomes a more well rounded package. By offering key features as standard, TVS has improved the value proposition of the Apache RTR without altering its proven mechanical setup. The Apache RTR continues to be a strong contender in the 160cc segment.
