Audi India will increase prices across its entire vehicle range by up to 2% effective May 15, 2025. The automaker attributed the decision to unfavorable exchange rate movements and rising input and operational costs.
This marks Audi’s second price revision in 2025, following a hike of up to 3% implemented on January 1. The company advised prospective buyers to consider making purchases before the revised pricing takes effect.
“This adjustment is necessary to support long-term viability for both Audi India and our dealer network,” said Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, adding that efforts are being made to limit the impact on customers.
Audi India’s lineup includes models such as the A4, A6, Q3, Q5, Q7, Q8, S5 Sportback, RS5 Sportback, RS Q8, multiple variants of the Q8 e-tron series, the e-tron GT, and RS e-tron GT.
In other news, globally the company recently revealed the next generation A6 sedan. The new A6 has a drag coefficient of 0.23, the best value for a combustion-engine production model in Audi’s history. At the front, the car gets sleek-looking LED headlamps and a large hexagonal grille with the four Audi rings. The front end does somewhat remind you of the e-tron GT. There is a prominent bonnet lip as well. The side air intakes have been optimized to achieve better airflow. The front spoiler in the front bumper reduces front axle lift and, together with panels on the underbody, ensures controlled airflow under the car.
The upward-sloping rear gives a notchback-style look. The LED tail lamps have crisp detailing, and there is a light strip that runs across the boot. The tailgate has a sharp curvature. There is also a large, wide diffuser that strikes the ideal balance between lift at the rear axle and drag, which enhances driving dynamics.
The new A6 sedan will come with three engine options. The 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol TFSI and 2.0 four-cylinder turbo diesel both put out 201 BHP. While the petrol develops 340 Nm torque, the diesel puts out 400 Nm. Both engines feature a 48-volt mild hybrid system. The diesel is available as a front-wheel drive or with quattro all-wheel drive. Both engines get a dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
The third engine is a 3.0 litre V6 petrol engine developing 362 BHP and 550 Nm of torque. The quattro all-wheel drive system is standard.
