Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has expanded its 125cc portfolio with the launch of two special editions aimed at distinct customer profiles: the Dio 125 X edition and the Shine 125 Limited Edition. These models retain the core mechanical packages of their respective standard versions while introducing cosmetic and feature-level enhancements. Positioned within the competitive 125cc scooter and commuter motorcycle segments, the Dio 125 X edition and Shine 125 Limited Edition focus on visual differentiation, updated equipment, and brand familiarity without altering their fundamental positioning in the market.
Dio 125 X edition and Shine 125 Limited Edition – Design
The Dio 125 X edition adopts a sharper design compared to the regular Dio 125. It features exclusive X-edition graphics applied across the body panels, complemented by a dual-tone colour scheme. The scooter is offered in Pearl Deep Ground Grey with Pearl Siren Blue. Coloured alloy wheels finished in a matte shade further distinguish the X edition from the standard model, while X-themed decals on the side panels reinforce its special-edition positioning.
The Shine 125 Limited Edition follows a restrained and minimalist design approach. Finished in Pearl Siren Blue and paired with pyrite brown alloy wheels, the motorcycle receives subtle new graphics that enhance its established commuter-friendly design. The Shine 125 Limited Edition retains its clean body lines and conventional proportions, maintaining its identity as a practical and understated 125cc motorcycle.

The Dio 125 offers a competitive feature set for the premium 125cc scooter segment. It is equipped with a TFT instrument cluster that delivers clear and modern information display. Higher variants are fitted with Honda’s H-Smart keyless system, enabling keyless ignition and added everyday convenience. The scooter runs on a 12-inch front wheel and a 10-inch rear wheel, supporting stable and predictable handling characteristics. The Shine 125 Limited Edition continues with the familiar equipment package of the standard Shine 125. Alloy wheels are standard.
Dio 125 X edition and Shine 125 Limited Edition – Engine and Performance
The Dio 125 is powered by a 123.92 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 8.19 bhp and 10.4 Nm of torque. With a kerb weight between 104 and 105 kg, the scooter is suited for urban riding conditions. It is supported by a 5.3-litre fuel tank, aligning with its city-focused usage. The mechanical package remains unchanged to ensure consistent performance and maintenance characteristics.
The Shine 125 Limited Edition uses the same 123.92 cc air-cooled engine in a different state of tune. It produces 10.6 bhp and 11 Nm of torque and is paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. The motorcycle has a kerb weight of 113 kg and rides on larger 18-inch alloy wheels. It comes equipped with a 10.5-litre fuel tank.
Dio 125 X edition and Shine 125 Limited Edition – Pricing and Availability
The Dio 125 X edition is priced at INR 87,733 (ex-showroom, Delhi), while the Shine 125 Limited Edition is priced at INR 86,211 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Bookings for both models are currently open across authorised Honda dealerships, with deliveries expected to begin from the second week of February 2026. With the introduction of these limited editons, the Dio 125 and Shine 125 reinforce Honda’s strategy of offering refreshed yet mechanically familiar products in the 125cc segment.
