Inside Honda’s EV Concept Store at Bengaluru: Activa e:, QC1, and More

Honda 2-Wheeler India has opened the doors to its first-ever Honda EV Concept Store in India, located in Bengaluru. The new experience centre is not a traditional dealership, but a curated space aimed at giving customers a glimpse into Honda’s evolving EV ambitions, technology showcase, and mobility solutions. Positioned as more than a showroom and unlike typical two-wheeler dealerships that emphasize sales, this store leans more towards storytelling and customer education.

Honda EV Concept Store – Scooters on Display

The Honda EV Concept Store currently exhibits two electric scooters the Activa e and QC1, both of which have been on sale in the Indian market from Q1 2025.

Activa e: This e-scooter retains classic Activa styling, powered by a dual swappable 1.5 kWh battery arrangement (total 3 kWh). Honda EV Concept Store – Visitor Experience

Visitors to the Honda EV Concept Store encounter interactive exhibitions featuring touchscreen modules and curved LED displays. These modules detail Honda’s global electric initiatives including battery swapping technology, modular platforms, and future mobility ecosystems. Non-Indian models such as the Motocompacto and the e‑GX kart are prominently featured as part of the brand’s broader vision, rather than for immediate commercial sale in India.Honda EV Concept Store

The Honda Motocompacto is a folding electric scooter not currently intended for the Indian market, identifiable by its briefcase-style form. Weighing 18–19 kg, it is driven by a 490 W permanent magnet motor that delivers 16 Nm torque, reaches a top speed of 24 km/h, offers a 19 km range on a single 6.8 Ah battery, and fully recharges within 3.5 hours via standard outlets

While the e‑GX Electric Racing Go‑Kart is a high-performance concept under development in the USA, the e‑GX features dual swappable 1.3 kWh batteries, notably reaching speeds up to 72 km/h, offering 30–45 minutes of ride time. Collectively, these models reflect Honda’s multi-faceted approach to electrified mobility—ranging from urban utilitarian vehicles to motorsport prototypes.

Honda EV Concept Store – Activa e: The New BaaS Lite Subscription Plan

To complement the launch of the Honda EV Concept Store, Honda has introduced a flexible and scalable subscription model through its Battery as a Service (BaaS) program. Managed by Honda Power Pack Energy India, this system uses swappable batteries to eliminate the need for fixed charging infrastructure.Honda EV Concept Store

The new BaaS Lite Plan, priced at ₹678/month for 20 kWh of battery usage, makes EV adoption more financially accessible. The batteries used can be easily swapped at designated Honda stations, reducing downtime and eliminating the need for personal charging setups.
