Rolls Royce Spectre Black Badge – Performance and Technical Specifications

At the heart of the Rolls Royce Spectre Black Badge is a dual-motor electric powertrain powered by a 102 kWh battery pack. It produces 659 PS and 1,075 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful Rolls Royce ever put into production. Compared to the standard Spectre, this version sees an increase of 74 PS and 175 Nm, which significantly alters the car’s acceleration profile. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint is now completed in just 4.1 seconds, which is 0.4 seconds quicker than the standard version.

The car introduces two exclusive driving modes. Infinity mode, activated via a dedicated button on the steering wheel, unleashes the full 659 PS output and subtly alters the driver interface graphics. Another unique calibration, referred to as Spirited Mode, temporarily delivers the maximum 1,075 Nm torque under specific throttle and brake input conditions, enhancing responsiveness during spirited driving.

Rolls Royce Spectre Black Badge – Range and Efficiency

Despite the added power, the Rolls Royce Spectre Black Badge manages to retain the same WLTP-certified range as the standard model, estimated between 493 and 530 kilometers on a full charge. Energy efficiency is rated between 22 and 24 kWh per 100 kilometers, allowing it to maintain the brand’s expectations of long-distance cruising without frequent charging interruptions.

The battery and drivetrain remain the same structurally, but additional software and torque management improvements have allowed the Spectre Black Badge to deliver higher output without compromising its real-world usability.

Rolls Royce Spectre Black Badge – Exterior Design

Aesthetically, the Rolls Royce Spectre Black Badge follows the darkened design theme that defines all Black Badge models. The iconic Pantheon grille is now finished in high-gloss black, as are the Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament, door handles, window surrounds, and badging. This blackened treatment is designed to contrast sharply with a new Vapour Violet exterior paint, a hue inspired by club culture and neon-lit nightlife. A distinctive Iced Black bonnet option is available to add visual drama to the front profile.

The car rides on bespoke 23-inch forged alloy wheels, available in both polished and full-black finishes. The Pantheon grille now includes a dark chrome treatment with a backlit surround. Illuminated sill plates and ambient lighting, customisable in colours like Tailored Purple and Chartreuse, further add to the bespoke atmosphere the Black Badge is known for.

Rolls Royce Spectre Black Badge – Interior and Personalisation

The cabin of the Rolls Royce Spectre Black Badge retains its opulence while adding touches of high-performance features. A gloss black dashboard finish embedded with over 5,500 tiny illuminated “stars” creates a unique nighttime visual. The digital driver’s display now offers five new themes inspired by bold neon tones, including options like Cyan Fire and Ultraviolet.

Trim materials include darkened carbon fibre and brushed aluminium inlays. As with every Rolls Royce, the Black Badge model offers access to the brand’s full Bespoke personalisation program. This includes over 44,000 exterior colour choices, unlimited leather and trim combinations, and even personalised embroidery or door-veneer inserts on request.

Rolls Royce Spectre Black Badge – India Pricing and Positioning

With a starting price of ₹9.5 crore (ex-showroom), the Rolls Royce Spectre Black Badge is priced nearly ₹1.9 crore above the standard Spectre, which was launched in India earlier in 2024. This premium is justified by the enhanced powertrain, darker design philosophy, and bespoke detailing that define the Black Badge experience.

The Indian market has shown increasing interest in high-end electric vehicles, the standard Spectre has received a strong response in terms of sales and garnering interest from several high-profile and celebrity owners. With this launch, Rolls Royce places itself firmly at the top of luxury EV segment in the country.
