Priced at ₹1.30 crore (ex-showroom, India), the Celebration Edition commemorates the success of the EQS lineup and the brand’s growing footprint in India’s top-end luxury EV segment.
The Mercedes Benz EQS 580 Celebration Edition places special focus on enhancing rear-seat comfort and personalization, catering to chauffeur-driven buyers who demand not just performance, but a deeply refined in-cabin experience. Mercedes Benz EQS 580 Celebration Edition – What’s New?
The Mercedes Benz EQS 580 Celebration Edition builds upon the standard EQS 580 4MATIC platform but brings additional luxury appointments to the rear seat. It now comes with the Rear Seat Comfort Package, which includes Multi-contour seats with ENERGIZING massage functions, lumbar support, neck and shoulder heating, and an extended reclining angle of up to 38 degrees.
Additionally, it features the Chauffeur Package, which electronically tilts the front passenger seat forward, creating increased rear legroom. The Executive Seats in the Celebration Edition are also equipped with extended thigh support for added comfort during longer journeys.
Interior materials have also been upgraded. Nappa leather upholstery is now standard, with designer belt buckles finished in chrome, and a new ambient lighting setup adds to the overall sense of occasion.
Mercedes Benz EQS 580 Celebration Edition – Performance and Range
The Mercedes Benz EQS 580 Celebration Edition remains mechanically identical to the standard EQS 580 4MATIC. It is powered by dual electric motors producing a combined 400 kW (536 hp) and 858 Nm of torque, propelling the sedan from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds. The top speed is rated at 210 km/h.
The car retains its 107.8 kWh battery pack, with an ARAI-certified range of up to 813 km on a single charge—the highest range figure for any electric vehicle on sale in India. It supports up to 200 kW DC fast charging, with a claimed 10–80% charging time of just 31 minutes.
This makes the Mercedes Benz EQS 580 Celebration Edition not only one of the most luxurious but also one of the most efficient long-range BEVs available in the country today.
Mercedes Benz EQS 580 Celebration Edition – Technology and Features
The Mercedes Benz EQS 580 Celebration Edition is equipped with Mercedes’ MBUX Hyperscreen interface, combining three high-resolution displays into a single glass panel that spans the entire dashboard. A standout feature is MBUX Augmented Reality Navigation, which overlays live images with turn-by-turn guidance to assist the driver in complex city traffic.
Rear axle steering comes standard with a 4.5-degree turning angle, with the option to upgrade to 10 degrees via the Mercedes me store. This not only enhances low-speed manoeuvrability but also provides increased stability at high speeds.
The car also benefits from airmatic air suspension, 4MATIC all-wheel drive, and advanced safety systems, making it one of the most technically accomplished EVs in its segment.
Mercedes Benz EQS 580 Celebration Edition – Positioning and Availability
The introduction of the Mercedes Benz EQS 580 Celebration Edition comes at a time when the brand’s battery electric vehicle (BEV) portfolio has recorded 73% year-on-year growth as of May 2025. Mercedes-Benz’s top-end EVs, including the EQS sedan and SUV, EQS Maybach, and G 580 with EQ Technology, are seeing increased customer interest.
Only 50 units of the Celebration Edition will be available for sale across the country. Mercedes claims that it is a model positioned as a collector’s model that further raises the benchmark for flagship electric luxury sedans in India.
