Nissan India has begun exporting the made-in-India left-hand-drive (LHD) Magnite SUV to Latin American countries. Manufactured at the company’s Chennai plant, the vehicles are shipped from Kamarajar Port. In January 2025, Nissan exported nearly 2,900 units of the Magnite, and plans to ship over 7,100 units this month to markets in the Middle East, North Africa, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific. By February’s end, the company aims to export more than 10,000 units of the LHD version.
The left-hand-drive Magnite, has a repositioned steering wheel to suit LHD markets. However, the SUV’s exterior and interior design, features, safety features, and powertrain remain consistent with the India-spec model.
In India, the Magnite facelift is available in six variants and is priced between Rs 6.12 lakh and Rs 11.72 lakh (ex-showroom). It is powered by a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine across all variants, with a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine available from the Acenta variant onwards.
The SUV comes equipped with LED headlights, 16-inch alloy wheels, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, 360-degree camera, and more. Standard safety features include six airbags, ESC, and seatbelt reminders for all seats.
The Magnite’s powertrain includes a 1.0-litre NA petrol engine delivering 72hp and 96Nm of torque, and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 100hp and 160Nm of torque. Both engines come with a 5-speed manual transmission, with the NA petrol offering a 5-speed AMT and the turbo variant a CVT. The SUV offers a fuel efficiency of 20 kmpl with the manual and 17.4 kmpl with the CVT turbo variants.
