Kia India has officially introduced its first made-in-India electric vehicle, the Kia Carens Clavis EV, with prices starting at ₹17.99 lakh (ex-showroom). With two battery options, multiple trim levels, and a strong emphasis on space, safety, and everyday practicality, the Carens Clavis EV aims to appeal to India’s growing market of electric vehicle buyers.
Kia Carens Clavis EV – Exterior Design
The Kia Carens Clavis EV carries forward the brand’s “Opposites United” design philosophy, without any major deviations from the design already seen on the ICE Clavis. Notable exterior elements include the “Digital Tiger Face” grille, connected Star Map LED DRLs, and ice cube-style LED headlamps. The rear is marked by a similar LED light bar, along with 17-inch dual-tone aero alloy wheels. You get a LED foglamp that was missing on its ICE sibling.
In terms of functional detailing, the EV features an LED-lit front charging port, an LED high-mount stop lamp, integrated roof rails, and a frunk with a 25-litre capacity. A new Matte Ivory Silver paint option makes its debut with this model.
