KTM 390 Adventure, Adventure X gets Substantial Price Hike: Details

KTM has revised the pricing of its 390 Adventure range in India, and the updated figures are now reflecting at dealerships. The regular 390 Adventure has moved up to ₹3.95 lakh, while the more affordable Adventure X variant is now listed at ₹3.26 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). In simple terms, the Adventure X asks for roughly ₹22,410 more than before, and the standard version becomes dearer by about ₹27,000. So, anyone hoping to bring one home will now find the bills slightly tougher on the budget.

KTM Adventure Range – GST Price Regulations

This price shift arrives after changes in GST regulations. When the revised tax structure was first announced, Bajaj Auto had stated that it would temporarily absorb the increase for KTM and Triumph models with engines over 350cc. At that time, the GST rate for such motorcycles jumped from 31% to 40% under the GST 2.0 restructuring. That cushioning helped KTM post some of its strongest festive-season sales in recent years, especially around Diwali.

However, the festive demand has cooled, and KTM appears to have ended its short-term price shield, passing the additional tax burden on to customers. The earlier relief period, it seems, has run its course.

For now, the company has not mentioned any similar price updates for the 390 Duke, RC 390, or the upcoming 390 Enduro. But given the current trend, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if those models also see revised stickers soon. If any of these bikes have been on your wishlist, this might be a good time to move your decision forward.

KTM Adventure Range – Drivetrain

Mechanically, both the 390 Adventure and Adventure X continue to use the newest 399cc, single-cylinder engine shared with the latest 390 Duke. The motor produces 46hp and 39Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed transmission and a bi-directional quickshifter. The Adventure X keeps the same basic silhouette as its more premium sibling, but runs on 19/17-inch alloy wheels and features a simplified electronics package. Its suspension isn’t adjustable, but still offers generous travel 200mm at the front and 205mm at the rear matching the standard model’s capability.
