Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition: A World First, Limited to just 300 Units

On the eve of Independence day Mahindra & Mahindra have launched the super exclusive Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition, a limited-run variant of its BE 6 Electric Origin SUV, created in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products. Inspired by Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Trilogy. This edition is the world’s first commercially available Batman-inspired SUV.

Restricted to 300 units, making it one of the most exclusive electric SUVs in India. Priced at ₹27.79 lakh (ex-showroom, without charger and installation), it carries a premium of ₹89,000 over the standard Pack 3 variant.

Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition – Exterior Design

The Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition is finished in a custom Satin Black paint scheme, complemented by a Batman decal on the front doors. It features 20-inch alloy wheels with contrasting Alchemy Gold-painted suspension and brake calipers. You get limited-edition “BE 6 × The Dark Knight” badging on the rear, alongside multiple placements of the iconic Bat emblem—on hub caps, front quarter panels, rear bumper, windows, the rear windshield and panoramic sunroof. The puddle lamps now project the Bat Emblem which almost looks like a Bat Signal in the dark.

Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition – Interior Design

Inside, the Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition receives a brushed Alchemy Gold plaque on the dashboard with an individual unit number. The cabin uses charcoal leather with brushed gold accents, suede and leather upholstery, and gold sepia stitching. The Bat emblem is integrated into the seats, the “Boost” button, and interior labels.

Gold detailing is also found on the steering wheel, In-Touch Controller, electronic parking brake, and custom key fob. A pinstripe graphic runs across the passenger dashboard, and the infotainment system features a Batman Edition welcome animation. Race car-inspired open straps and custom exterior sound effects complete the Batman theme.

Standard features include Dual 12.3 inch screens one for infotainment and the other for drivers display, Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 5G Connectivity, BYOD in-car experience, pre-installed OTT/social/news/shopping apps. Up front the BE 6 is equipped with Dual wireless chargers. The audio is handled by a 16-speaker Harman Kardon system with Dolby Atmos, Sonic Studio, Virtual Engine Sounds.

Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition – Battery and Range

The Batman Edition is based on the BE 6 Pack 3 variant, which comes with a 79 kWh battery. While Mahindra has not introduced any performance upgrades for this edition, it retains the electric SUV’s standard powertrain configuration. It has power output of 282 hp and does the 0–100 kmph sprint in just 6.7 seconds.

The certified MIDC range for the BE6 stands at 683 km. It gets fast charging capabilities taking it from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes with a 175 kW DC charger. Buyers can choose between a 7.2 kW charger at ₹50,000 or an 11.2 kW charger at ₹75,000.

Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition – Safety Features

Safety features on the Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition remain consistent with the standard BE 6, offering modern active and passive safety systems. The exact list includes ADAS: L2+ with 5 radars & 1 vision camera, Driver Initiated Auto Lane Change, Lane Centring & Emergency Steering Assist, Blind Spot Detection, Front & Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

Driver Assistance safety features include a 360-degree Camera, Blind View Monitor, Secure360 , Driver Drowsiness Detection, Rear Parking Sensors, Auto Defogger and TPMS. The Batman Edition does not introduce unique safety equipment but benefits from the already extensive safety set that the standard BE 6 offers.

Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition – Market Positioning and Booking Details

Positioned as a collector’s model, the Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition appeals to both electric vehicle buyers and pop culture enthusiasts. Its pricing and exclusivity place it slightly above mainstream EVs like the MG ZS EV, Hyundai Creta EV and Tata Harrier.ev, while it also stands apart from luxury electric SUVs due to its themed design. Limited to 300 units, it targets a niche market where brand sentiment runs really high. Bookings open on 23 August 2025, with deliveries starting 20 September 2025, coinciding with International Batman Day.
