  • New 6 speed AT
  • Heavily updated styling
  • Longer equipment list

Mahindra has launched the XUV3XO at a price of Rs. 7.49 Lakhs (Ex-showroom). While essentially a facelift of the XUV3OO, it gets a new name, completely different styling, new features and a new transmission option. As before, it gets 3 engine options one of which is diesel and has been retained.

Mahindra XUV3XO: Design & Styling

Talking of the new styling, the crossover gets a new front fascia. At the centre there is a new glossy black grille which merges into the twin-pod headlamp cluster with a textured finish. Then you have the headlamp cluster itself which features LED projectors on top with large fog lamps just below them along with a C shaped DRL. The lower bumper also features thick cladding at the bottom along with a trapezoidal air dam which also houses the number plate.

Towards the side, one can find some resemblance to the older car and while the shoulder line remains the same, one can observe a sportier design for the alloy wheels along with thicker cladding with a signature cut in the middle besides the new head and taillamp clusters. The design for the roof rails has also been altered and there are new side fins beneath the rear spoiler.

At the rear, there is a massive connected taillamp cluster which runs across the width of the car before culminating in a C shape at the ends. It also gets a new redesigned hatch with XUV3XO badging in the centre while the rear number plate now sits in the bumper. The lower end of the rear profile is almost entirely taken up by thick black cladding with reflectors at the corners with a faux skid plate below. There is also a new rear spoiler with accompanying fins below it.

Mahindra XUV3XO: Interior & Features

The interiors of the 3XO also feature a heavily updated design borrowed from the XUV400 facelift. These include a new steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster, a brand new 10.25 inch touchscreen with a new centre console and AC vents. You also see diamond detailing on the passenger side. Overall, the interiors features a black and white colour scheme. In terms of features, Mahindra has loaded equipment in the XUV3XO which includes a larger panoramic sunroof, wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay, Dual-zone climate control, EPB with auto hold, wireless smartphone charger, Harman Kardon sound system with amplifier and subwoofer, 360 degree camera and a lot more.

As of safety, it gets 6 airbags as standard along with all-wheel-disc brakes, ESC with Hill Hold Assist and Hill Descent Control, 3 point seatbelts and seatbelt reminders for all seats. Additionally, it also gets ADAS Level 2 features such as Auto Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruiser Control, Lane Departure Warning and more. Mahindra has also hinted at sending the 3XO for BNCAP crash tests and it achieving a 5 stars safety rating.

Mahindra XUV3XO: Performance

Under the hood, the XUV3XO continues with three engine options. The base variants come with a 1.2L turbo-petrol making 110HP and 200NM which can be had with a 6 speed manual or a newly-introduced 6 speed torque converter AT. Then you have the option of another 1.2L turbo-petrol TGDi engine which gets a bigger turbo and direct-injection making 128HP and 230NM of torque. This is also available with a 6 speed manual or a 6 speed torque converter AT. Notably, this engine was earlier available as the turbosport but the moniker is now gone.
